Abstract
Kecakapan sosial merupakan kecakapan yang sangat diperlukan dalam dunia pendidikan guna mendorong pembentukan karakter siswa dan meningkatkan kemampuan dalam komunikasi serta interaksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan kondisi kecakapan sosial pada pengurus OSIS sekolah menengah di Kota Bandung serta rancangan implikasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk pengembangan kecakapan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional survey design. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 46 pengurus OSIS SMA, 53 pengurus OSIS SMK, dan 37 pengurus OSIS MA di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kecakapan sosial yang telah melalui proses uji validitas dan reabilitas. Instrumen yang dibuat berlandaskan aspek-aspek kecakapan sosial seperti aspek komunikasi, koooperatif, asertif, dan empati. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pengurus OSIS sekolah menengah di Kota Bandung memiliki tingkat kecakapan sosial yang cenderung rata-rata. Pada ketiga sekolah tersebut, tidak ditemukan perbedaan yang signifikan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kecakapan sosial yang dimiliki pengurus OSIS sekolah memengah cenderung sama. Temuan ini menjadi dasar dalam pembuatan rancangan layanan bimbingan dan konseling untuk pengembangan kecakapan sosial pengurus OSIS di sekolah menengah Kota Bandung agar lebih baik dan merata. Social skills are essential in education to support character development and enhance students' communication and interaction abilities. This study aims to describe the social skill levels of student council (OSIS) members in secondary schools in Bandung City and to design guidance and counseling service implications for developing these skills. The research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The subjects consisted of 46 OSIS members from general high schools (SMA), 53 from vocational high schools (SMK), and 37 from Islamic high schools (MA) in Bandung City. The instrument used was a social skills scale that had undergone validity and reliability testing. The scale was developed based on aspects of social skills, including communication, cooperation, assertiveness, and empathy. Data analysis results showed that OSIS members in secondary schools in Bandung City generally demonstrated average levels of social skills, with no significant differences among the three school types. This indicates that the social skills of student council members across different types of schools tend to be relatively similar. These findings provide a foundation for designing guidance and counseling services aimed at improving and equalizing the social skills of OSIS members in secondary schools in Bandung City.
