    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi kompetensi instruktur junior dalam merencanakan penyajian materi pelatihan menjahit tingkat dasar di Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja (LPK) Pelita Massa. Fokus kajian mencakup empat elemen kompetensi, yaitu: menyusun sesi pembelajaran, mempersiapkan sarana dan media, mempersiapkan tempat dan pelatih, serta mengorganisasikan lingkungan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada teori pendidikan masyarakat, pelatihan partisipatif yang menekankan keterlibatan aktif peserta dalam proses pembelajaran, serta konsep pelatihan dan pengembangan (training and development) yang berorientasi pada peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, melibatkan instruktur, pengelola, dan peserta pelatihan sebagai informan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kompetensi instruktur junior sudah baik dalam menyusun sesi pembelajaran secara terstruktur dan sesuai kebutuhan peserta. Instruktur juga mampu menyiapkan sarana dan media secara bertahap dan fungsional, sehingga mendukung efektivitas proses belajar. Selain itu, instruktur dapat menata ruang pelatihan yang nyaman serta bekerja sama dengan pelatih yang memiliki keahlian. Dalam mengelola lingkungan pembelajaran, instruktur menyusun jadwal yang fleksibel, membangun komunikasi yang baik, dan menciptakan suasana kondusif. Secara keseluruhan, implementasi kompetensi instruktur mencakup penguasaan pengetahuan, keterampilan dalam merancang dan menyampaikan pembelajaran, serta sikap terbuka, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli terhadap peserta. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa instruktur telah memenuhi aspek kompetensi dalam mengimplementasikan perencanaan penyajian materi pelatihan menjahit tingkat dasar sesuai karakteristik dan kebutuhan peserta. Keterbatasan ditemukan pada keterlibatan instruktur dalam penyusunan modul dan jumlah tenaga pendamping. Penelitian merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan internal dan keterlibatan aktif instruktur dalam perencanaan materi guna meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi. This study aims to analyze the implementation of junior instructors’ competencies in planning the presentation of basic sewing training materials at Pelita Massa Training Center (LPK Pelita Massa). The focus of the study covers four competency elements, namely: designing learning sessions, preparing facilities and media, preparing venues and trainers, and organizing the learning environment. The study is grounded in community education theory, participatory training that emphasizes active involvement of participants in the learning process, as well as the concept of training and development oriented toward improving human resource competencies. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving instructors, administrators, and training participants as informants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of junior instructors’ competencies is well demonstrated in designing structured learning sessions that meet participants’ needs. Instructors were also able to prepare facilities and media in a gradual and functional manner, thereby supporting the effectiveness of the learning process. In addition, instructors successfully arranged a comfortable training environment and collaborated with skilled trainers. In managing the learning environment, instructors prepared flexible schedules, fostered good communication, and created a conducive atmosphere. Overall, the implementation of competencies encompassed mastery of knowledge, skills in designing and delivering instruction, as well as openness, responsibility, and concern toward participants. These findings show that instructors have met the competency aspects in implementing the planning of basic sewing training materials according to the characteristics and needs of participants. Limitations were found in instructors’ involvement in module preparation and the limited number of assistant trainers. The study recommends strengthening internal training and encouraging active involvement of instructors in material planning to enhance the quality of competency-based learning.
