    Abstract

    Keterampilan sosial merupakan aspek penting dalam proses pembelajaran, namun hasil observasi di SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung menunjukan bahwa keterampilan sosial siswa masih rendah. Hal ini terlihat dari rendahnya partisipasi dalam diskusi, kurangnya interaksi positif dengan teman sebaya, serta dominannya metode pembelajaran konvesional yang membuat siswa pasif. Kondisi tersebut menuntut adanya model pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat digunakan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Efektivitas penerapan model kooperatif tipe NHT dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial siswa pada pembelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen, desain Quasi Eksperimental Bentuk Posttest-Only Control Design. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu, X IPS 2 (Eksperimen), X IPS 4 (Kontrol). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan lembar observasi, Posttest, LKPD, Unjuk Kerja, Angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa; 1) Keterampilan sosial siswa di kelas eksperimen berada pada kriteri Sangat baik dengan skor 104,3%. 2) Keterampilan sosial peserta didik di kelas Kontrol yang menggunakan kooperatid berdiskusi berada pada kriteria cukup baik dengan skor 97,51%. 3) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan sosial yang signifikasiantara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dengan hasil uji-t sebesar 0,002 < 0,05 menunjukan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok, sehingga H0 ditolak dan HI diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan sosial peserta didik dalam pembelajaran geografi. Social skills are an important aspect of the learning process; however, observations at SMA Pasundan 1 Bandung showed that students’ social skills were still low. This was evident from the lack of participation in discussions, limited positive interaction with peers, and the dominance of conventional teaching methods that made students passive. This condition requires a more interactive learning model that encourages active student involvement. One alternative that can be used is the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of applying the cooperative learning model type NHT in improving students’ social skills in geography learning. The study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a Quasi-Experimental Posttest-Only Control Design. The sample consisted of class X IPS 2 (Experimental) and X IPS 4 (Control). Research instruments included observation sheets, posttest, student worksheets (LKPD), performance tasks, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed through normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results of the study show that: 1) The social skills of students in the experimental class were in the “Very Good” category with a score of 104.3%. 2) The social skills of students in the control class using cooperative discussion were in the “Fairly Good” category with a score of 97.51%. 3) There was a significant difference in social skills between the experimental and control classes, with the t-test result of 0.002 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups; thus, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) is effective in improving students’ social skills in geography learning.
