Abstract

Studi fenomenologi ini mengeksplorasi peran serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat keterlibatan ayah dalam proses pembelajaran remaja. Melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tiga pasang ayah dan anak, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa keterlibatan ayah adalah sebuah proses transformasional yang didasari oleh refleksi diri dan pembelajaran seumur hidup. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan ayah adalah sebuah proses adaptif yang berdampak pada pembelajaran remaja. Peran ayah bertransisi secara fleksibel dari figur otoritatif menjadi partner yang kolaboratif dalam pengambilan keputusan terkait studi seiring pertumbuhan anak. Keterlibatan ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh dua faktor fundamental: evaluasi terhadap figur ayah di masa lalu serta peran penting istri sebagai partner diskusi. Keterlibatan tersebut terwujud melalui dukungan psikologis yang terstruktur, termasuk memberikan tantangan yang realistis, kata-kata motivasi, dan mendampingi dalam setiap tahap perencanaan akademik. Temuan ini juga menyoroti peran ibu sebagai perantara komunikasi yang vital antara ayah dan anak dalam mendiskusikan topik-topik pendidikan. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa keterlibatan ayah membentuk fondasi psikologis yang kuat dan secara langsung berkontribusi pada proses pembelajaran khususnya, pengembangan potensi diri, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis remaja. Kata Kunci: keterlibatan ayah, proses pembelajaran, remaja A phenomenological study, this research explores the role of fathers and the supporting and inhibiting factors of their involvement in adolescent learning. Through in-depth interviews with three pairs of fathers and adolescents, this study found that paternal involvement is a transformational process rooted in self-reflection and lifelong learning. The findings indicate that the role of the father flexibly transitions from an authoritative figure to a collaborative partner in decision-making related to studies as the child grows. This involvement is profoundly influenced by two fundamental factors: an evaluation of the father's figure in the past and the crucial role of the wife as a discussion partner. This involvement is manifested through structured psychological support, including setting realistic challenges, providing motivational words, and assisting in every stage of academic planning. The findings also highlight the mother's role as a vital communication intermediary between the father and the child in discussing educational topics. Overall, the study concludes that paternal involvement forms a strong psychological foundation and directly contributes to the learning process, particularly the development of self-potential and critical thinking skills in adolescents.
