    Abstract

    Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan pengelolaan marah pada peserta didik, yang berpotensi menimbulkan perilaku agresif, konflik sosial, bahkan kekerasan di lingkungan sekolah. Marah yang tidak dikelola dengan baik dapat berdampak negatif pada perkembangan pribadi, sosial, karir, dan akademik peserta didik. Untuk itu, diperlukan intervensi yang tepat guna meningkatkan pengelolaan marah. Konseling Rasional Emotif Perilaku (REB) dipilih karena pendekatan ini menekankan pada restrukturisasi kognitif terhadap pikiran irasional yang memicu kemarahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui profil pengelolaan marah peserta didik di SMKN 1 Ciamis, (2) implementasi konseling REB dalam meningkatkan pengelolaan marah, dan (3) menguji efektivitas konseling REB terhadap pengelolaan marah peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan metode single subject research dengan desain A-B-A. Subjek penelitian berjumlah empat orang peserta didik kelas X dan XI yang menunjukkan pengelolaan marah rendah, dipilih berdasarkan studi pendahuluan dan hasil asesmen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur pengelolaan marah dikembangkan oleh peneliti dan memiliki reliabilitas sebesar 0,83. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pengelolaan marah peserta didik mayoritas pada kategori sedang, (2) konseling REB untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan marah dilakukan sebanyak delapan sesi konseling, dan (3) konseling REB efektif untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan marah, seluruh subjek mengalami peningkatan yang konsisten dari fase baseline (A1), intervensi (B), hingga baseline akhir (A2). Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru BK/konselor sekolah dapat mengimplementasikan pendekatan konseling REB dalam layanan konseling individual maupun kelompok, khususnya dalam menangani peserta didik yang memiliki kesulitan dalam pengelolaan marah. Selain itu, penelitian lanjutan diharapkan dapat menguji efektivitas konseling REB dalam jangka panjang untuk mengukur perubahan yang terjadi dan mampu bertahan atau permanen. Penelitian ini juga dapat dilakukan pada latar budaya yang berbeda. Kata kunci: REBT, Konseling Rasional Emotif Perilaku, Pengelolaan Marah This research is motivated by the problem of low anger management skills in students, which has the potential to cause aggressive behavior, social conflict, and even violence in the school environment. Unmanaged anger can adversely affect students' personal, social, career, and academic development. Therefore, appropriate interventions are needed to improve anger management. Rational Emotive Behavioral Counseling was chosen because this approach emphasizes cognitive restructuring of irrational thoughts that trigger anger. This research aims to (1) determine the anger management profile of students at SMKN 1 Ciamis, (2) implement rational emotive behavior counseling in improving anger management, and (3) the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior counseling on students' anger management. The research used the single-subject research method with an A-B-A design. The research subjects were four students in grades X and XI who showed low anger management, selected based on preliminary studies and assessment results. The researcher developed the instrument to measure anger management, which boasts a reliability of 0.83. The results of the study indicate that (1) the majority of students' anger management is in the moderate category, (2) rational emotive behavioral counseling to improve anger management was carried out in eight counseling sessions, and (3) rational emotive behavioral counseling was effective in improving anger management; all subjects experienced consistent improvement from the baseline phase (A1) and intervention (B) to the final baseline (A2). This study recommends that BK teachers/school counselors can use the rational emotive behavioral counseling approach in individual or group counseling services, especially in dealing with students who have difficulties in anger management. In addition, further research is expected to test the effectiveness of the rational emotive behavioral counseling approach in the long term. Furthermore, future research is expected to examine the long-term effectiveness of rational emotive behavioral counseling to assess whether the changes achieved are sustainable or permanent.
