Abstract
Sebagian siswa sekolah dasar masih menghadapi permasalahan terkait minat terhadap alam. Pembelajaran di sekolah cenderung bersifat teoritis sehingga siswa kurang memperoleh pengalaman langsung dengan lingkungan sekitar. Kondisi ini diperburuk dengan kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan, tidak menjaga kebersihan, serta sikap acuh terhadap alam. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan masih sebatas pengetahuan, belum tercermin dalam sikap maupun perilaku nyata, serta diperparah dengan rendahnya minat terhadap alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana kegiatan perkemahan Pramuka dapat meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap alam. Minat terhadap alam merupakan indikator penting dalam menumbuhkan kepedulian lingkungan sejak usia sekolah dasar. Kegiatan kepramukaan seperti perkemahan dianggap efektif karena memadukan pengalaman langsung di alam, kerja sama kelompok, dan pembelajaran nilai karakter melalui aktivitas luar ruang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus serta model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) untuk menilai pelaksanaan secara menyeluruh. Subjek penelitian meliputi siswa kelas 4, 5, dan 6, guru kelas, serta pembina pramuka di SD Negeri Karyajati. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkemahan Pramuka berkontribusi besar dalam menumbuhkan minat siswa terhadap alam. Hal ini tampak dari meningkatnya antusiasme eksplorasi, kepedulian lingkungan, serta pemahaman kontekstual terhadap konsep alam. Interaksi sosial, peran pembina yang menyenangkan, serta keterlibatan langsung dalam aktivitas di alam menjadi faktor pendukung utama. Dengan demikian, perkemahan Pramuka dapat dijadikan strategi pembelajaran alternatif yang efektif untuk menumbuhkan kepedulian lingkungan sekaligus memperkuat minat siswa terhadap alam. Elementary school students still face problems regarding their interest in nature. School learning remains largely theoretical, giving students limited opportunities to directly experience the environment. This is worsened by habits such as littering, ignoring cleanliness, and showing indifference toward their surroundings. These conditions indicate that students’ understanding of environmental preservation remains at the knowledge level, not yet reflected in behavior, and is aggravated by their low interest in nature. This study aims to explore how Scout camping activities can foster students’ interest in nature. Interest in nature is an important indicator for cultivating environmental awareness from an early age. Scouting activities, particularly camping, are considered effective because they combine direct outdoor experiences, teamwork, and character building values. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method and applied the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model to examine the activities comprehensively. Research subjects included fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students, classroom teachers, and Scout leaders at SD Negeri Karyajati. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings show that Scout camping significantly contributes to fostering students’ interest in nature. This is evident from their increased enthusiasm for exploration, improved awareness of the environment, and contextual understanding of natural concepts. Social interaction, enjoyable guidance from Scout leaders, and direct outdoor involvement were key supporting factors. Thus, Scout camping can serve as an effective alternative learning strategy to build environmental care and strengthen students’ interest in nature.
