    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari fenomena meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial TikTok di masyarakat Indonesia khususnya generasi muda pada kalangan mahasiswa, serta banyaknya konten altruisme di TikTok yang memiliki potensi dalam membentuk nilai-nilai kepekaan sosial seperti empati dan kepedulian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konten altruisme pada media sosial TikTok terhadap kepekaan sosial mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, penggunaan pada konten media sosial dapat dipengaruhi dari segi frekuensi dan atensi pengguna itu sendiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan melibatkan sebanyak 79 responden sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner menggunakan skala likert, analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa konten altrusime di TikTok berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepekaan sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jika menonton konten altruisme di TikTok khususnya dalam dimensi frekuensi dan atensi memberikan pengaruh terhadap kepekaan sosial mahasiswa. Mahasiswa yang lebih sering mengakses dan memberikan atensi tinggi terhadap konten sosial menunjukkan tingkat empati dan keterlibatan sosial yang lebih tinggi. Indikator seperti intensitas menonton, memahami pesan moral, merespons secara emosional, serta membagikan ulang konten menjadi bukti keterhubungan antara media digital dan pembentukan sikap sosial seperti kepekaan sosial;. This research is motivated by the phenomenon of increasing use of TikTok social media in Indonesian society, especially among the younger generation among students, as well as the abundance of altruistic content on TikTok which has the potential to shape social sensitivity values such as empathy and care. This study aims to determine the effect of altruistic content on TikTok social media on the social sensitivity of Social Studies Education students at the Indonesian University of Education. The use of social media content can be influenced by the frequency and attention of the user itself. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method and involves 79 respondents as a sample. The data collection technique was carried out through a questionnaire using a Likert scale, data analysis was carried out using a descriptive quantitative approach. The results of the study partially indicate that altruistic content on TikTok has a significant effect on social sensitivity. The results show that watching altruistic content on TikTok, especially in the dimensions of frequency and attention, has an influence on students' social sensitivity. Students who access and pay high attention to social content more frequently show higher levels of empathy and social engagement. Indicators such as viewing intensity, understanding moral messages, responding emotionally, and re-sharing content are evidence of the connection between digital media and the formation of social attitudes such as social sensitivity.
