Abstract

Fokus utama dalam penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana locus of control internal dan dukungan orang tua berpengaruh terhadap kematangan karier siswa SMA di Kota Bandung. Dalam penelitian ini, diterapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini diperoleh dengan teknik accidental sampling, melibatkan 416 siswa SMA dari berbagai sekolah di Kota Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Career Maturity Inventory (CMI) yang di adaptasi oleh Pratiwi, skala locus of control internal yang dikembangkan oleh Wiandari berdasarkan teori Levenson dan skala dukungan orang tua yang dikembangkan oleh Gunawan yang didasarkan pada teori Sarafino & Smith. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik statistik regresi linear sederhana dan berganda menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 27. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa locus of control internal dan dukungan orang tua secara simultan memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kematangan karier siswa. Secara parsial, locus of control internal maupun dukungan orang tua memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kematangan karier, meskipun dengan kontribusi yang relatif rendah. The main focus of this study is to determine how internal locus of control and parental support influence the career maturity of high school students in Bandung. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample was obtained using accidental sampling, involving 416 high school students from various school in Bandung City. The instrument used in this study were the Career Maturity Inventory (CMI) adapted by Pratiwi, the Internal Locus of Control Scale developed by Wiandari based on Levenson’s theory and the Parental Support Scale developed by Gunawan based on Safarino & Smith’s theory. The research data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression statistical techniques using SPSS version 27. The results of the analysis indicate that internal locus of control and parental support simultaneously have a significant influence on students career maturity. Partially, both internal locus of control and parental support have a positive and significant influence on career maturity, although their contributions are relatively low.
