Abstract
Partisipan berjumlah 363 orang dewasa awal berusia 21–40 tahun, dipilih melalui teknik non-probability sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi Perceived Peer Support Scale (PSS-Fr), Propensity to Trust Scale, dan Fear of Intimacy Scale. Variabel Trust bersifat unidimensional. This study aims to examine the effect of Peer Support and Trust on Fear of Intimacy among emerging adults with relationship statuses including dating, being in a relationship without a label (HTS), and never having been in a romantic relationship. The research employed a quantitative approach. Participants consisted of 363 emerging adults aged 21–40 years, selected using a non-probability sampling technique. The instruments used were the Perceived Peer Support Scale (PSS-Fr), the Propensity to Trust Scale, and the Fear of Intimacy Scale. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression tests. The results showed that Peer Support had no significant effect on Fear of Intimacy (p = 0.670) and Trust also had no significant effect on Fear of Intimacy (p = 0.471). Demographic analysis revealed that the most recent relationship status was the only factor showing a significant difference, while age, gender, and employment status had no effect. In the Fear of Intimacy variable, the Emotional Valence and Vulnerability dimensions had the highest mean scores with equal contributions, while the lowest was in the Content dimension. In Peer Support, the highest dimension was Informational Support and the lowest was Emotional Support. The Trust variable was unidimensional.
