Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan mengidentifikasi hambatan belajar siswa pada materi Bentuk Aljabar, mengembangkan desain didaktis terintegrasi etnomatematika untuk meminimalisir hambatan belajar sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir matematis dan pemecahan masalah, menguji efektivitas implementasi desain didaktis, serta memperbaiki desain didaktis yang dibuat. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas 7 SMP di salah satu sekolah di Kabupaten Kubu Raya, yang telah mempelajari materi bentuk aljabar. Data diperoleh melalui tes tertulis, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Desain didaktis yang dibuat dituangkan dalam Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), dan etnomatematika yang diangkat adalah permainan tradisional Tabak dan alat transportasi tradisional Motor Air. Hasil menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa belum mengalami peningkatan setelah pengimplementasian desain didaktis, yang dapat disebabkan oleh lemahnya kemampuan awal siswa. Untuk itu, perbaikan desain didaktis diarahkan pada penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, yang memungkinkan siswa dikelompokkan dan diberikan materi berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan awalnya. This study is qualitative research that aims to identify students' learning obstacles in learning algebraic forms material, develop a didactic design integrated with ethnomathematics to minimize learning obstacles while improving algebraic thinking and problem-solving ability, test the effectiveness of the implementation of the didactic design, and improve the didactic design created. The subjects of the study were 7th grade junior high school students in one of the schools in Kubu Raya, who had studied the algebraic forms material. Data were obtained through written tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The didactic design created was outlined in Student Worksheets (LKPD), and the ethnomathematics raised were the traditional game Tabak and the traaditional transportation tool Motor Air. The results showed that most students had not experienced any improvement after the implementation of the didactic design, which could be caused by the students' weak initial abilities. Therefore, improvements to the didactic design were directed at the application of differentiated learning, which allows students to be grouped and given materials based on their initial ability level.
