    Abstract

    Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas IV di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya pada materi energi dan perubahannya, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengukur efektivitas media Fun Thinkers Book terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah mix-method dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu analyze, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Populasi penelitian ini merupakan peserta didik sekolah dasar kelas IV di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah sampel seluruh peserta didik kelas IV yang berjumlah 12 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis data kuantitatif dengan skala likert dan analisis data kualitatatif. Rata-rata hasil validasi dari ahli materi, media, dan praktisi pembelajaran menempatkan media pada kategori "sangat layak" dengan persentase sebesar 91,4%. Selain itu, hasil tes peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,76 yang berada pada kategori "tinggi". Oleh karena itu, media Fun Thinkers Book dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan serta efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas IV SD mengenai konsep energi dan perubahannya. The background of this study is the low level of understanding of fourth-grade students at an elementary school in Tasikmalaya Regency regarding energy and its changes. Therefore, this study aims to develop and measure the effectiveness of the Fun Thinkers Book media on the conceptual understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students. The method used in this study is a mixed method with the ADDIE development model, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research population consists of fourth-grade elementary school students in Tasikmalaya Regency, with a sample size of all fourth-grade students totaling 12 individuals, using a saturated sampling technique. The analysis techniques used in this study were quantitative data analysis using a Likert scale and qualitative data analysis. The average validation results from subject matter experts, media experts, and learning practitioners placed the media in the “highly suitable” category with a percentage of 91.4%. Additionally, the results of the students' tests before and after using the media showed an improvement with an N-Gain value of 0.76, which falls into the “high” category. Therefore, the Fun Thinkers Book media is deemed highly suitable for use and effective in enhancing fourth-grade elementary school students' understanding of energy concepts and their transformations.
