Abstract
Membaca permulaan adalah tahap awal dalam proses belajar membaca yang difokuskan pada pengenalan huruf, pengucapan kata, dan pemahaman makna dasar dari kata-kata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa autism spectrum disorders. Media aplikasi android memiliki visual, audio dan interaksi yang menjadikan pembelajaran membaca permulaan bagi siswa lebih mudah dipahami dan lebih menarik. Desain penelitian pengembangan yang sudah di validasi ahli dengan model ADDIE memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengombinasikan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Media digunakan pada seorang siswa kelas 2 yang menunjukkan gejala autism spectrum disorder dan mengalami kesulitan dalam membaca permulaan keefektifan penggunaan aplikasi android diukur dengan menggunakan desain SSR. Berdasarkan hasil dari tahap baseline 1, intervensi, baseline 2 menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca huruf siswa pada awalnya sangat rendah, setelah penggunaan media siswa mengalami kenaikan yang cukup tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis aplikasi android “Baperdah” dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dalam tahap membaca huruf siswa autism spectrum disorders. Early reading is the initial stage in the process of learning to read which focuses on letter recognition, word pronunciation, and understanding the basic meaning of words. This study aims to develop an effective android application-based learning media in improving early reading skills in students with autism spectrum disorders. The android application media has visuals, audio and interactions that make learning early reading for students easier to understand and more interesting. The research and development design that has been validated by experts with the ADDIE model allows researchers to combine qualitative and quantitative approaches. The media was used on a 2nd grade student who showed symptoms of autism spectrum disorders and had difficulty in early reading. The effectiveness of using the android application was measured using the SSR design. Based on the results of the baseline 1, intervention, baseline 2 stages, it showed that the students' letter reading ability was initially very low, after the use of the media, the students experienced a significant increase. It can be concluded that the initial reading learning media based on the android application "Baperdah" can improve the initial reading ability in the letter reading stage of students with autism spectrum disorders.
