Abstract
Perencanaan karier merupakan kompetensi penting yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam menghadapi dinamika dunia kerja yang kompleks dan tidak pasti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bimbingan karier desain kehidupan untuk mengembangkan perencanaan karier siswa SMK di Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group. Sampel penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan siswa kelas X yang dibagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa angket perencanaan karier yang dikembangkan berdasarkan tiga aspek, yaitu kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji-t, ANOVA, dan uji lanjut Post-hoc. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil perencanaan karier siswa sebagian besar berada pada kategori cukup mampu. Intervensi bimbingan karier desain kehidupan terbukti efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan perencanaan karier secara keseluruhan, serta pada masing-masing aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Aspek dengan efektivitas tertinggi ada pada aspek kognitif dan indikator dengan peningkatan skor tertinggi terdapat pada pemahaman terhadap potensi diri. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi bagi praktik bimbingan karier di SMK dan merekomendasikan penerapan bimbingan karier desain kehidupan sebagai alternatif intervensi untuk mengembangkan perencanaan karier siswa. Career planning is an essential competency that vocational high school (SMK) students need to possess in facing the complex and uncertain dynamics of the world of work. This study aims to develop life design career guidance to enhance the career planning of SMK students in Bogor Regency. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was obtained through purposive sampling, involving tenth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. The data collection instrument was a career planning questionnaire developed based on three aspects: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Data were analyzed using t-tests, ANOVA, and Post-hoc tests. The findings reveal that most students’ career planning profiles fall into the moderately capable category. The life design career guidance intervention was proven effective in developing overall career planning abilities, as well as in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The highest effectiveness was observed in the cognitive aspect, while the indicator with the greatest score improvement was self-potential understanding. These findings contribute to career guidance practices in vocational schools and recommend the implementation of life design career guidance as an alternative intervention to foster students’ career planning.
