Abstract
Pemanasan global telah menjadi isu hangat dalam beberapa dekade terakhir ini, dengan menunjukkan dampak nyata karena fenomena pemanasan global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang pengaruh penerapan model Case Driven Learning (CDL) berbantuan Greenhouse Effect Experiment Tools (GHEET) terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan attitude toward global warming (ATGW) siswa SMA. Penelitian dilakukan dengan sampel siswa SMA kelas 10, menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes pengetahuan pemanasan global dan skala ATGW. Konsep N-Gain digunakan untuk menganalisis peningkatan pengetahuan pemanasan global dan konsep Effect Size digunakan untuk menganalisis besar pengaruh model CDL terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan pemanasan global. Perhitungan persentase digunakan untuk menganalisis perubahan sikap siswa terhadap pemanasan global. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan dalam kategori sedang pada pengetahuan pemanasan global sebagai efek penerapan model CDL berbantuan GHEET dan memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan pemanasan global. Selain itu hampir setengah dari jumlah siswa mengalami perubahan sikap terhadap fenomena pemanasan global ke arah sikap yang lebih positif. Global warming has emerged as a critical issue in recent decades, with tangible impacts increasingly evident worldwide. This study aims to examine the effect of applying the Case Driven Learning (CDL) model assisted by Greenhouse Effect Experiment Tools (GHEET) on improving high school students’ knowledge and attitudes toward global warming (ATGW). The research was conducted with a sample of 10th-grade high school students using a quantitative approach and a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data were collected through a global warming knowledge test and an ATGW scale. The N-Gain was employed to analyze improvements in students’ knowledge, while the Effect Size was used to determine the magnitude of the CDL model’s impact. Additionally, percentage analysis was applied to evaluate changes in students’ attitudes toward global warming. The findings revealed a moderate improvement in global warming knowledge as a result of the GHEET-assisted CDL model, with a strong effect on enhancing students’ understanding. Furthermore, nearly half of the students demonstrated a shift toward a more positive attitude regarding the issue of global warming.
