Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dan level pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi teori kinetik gas melalui penerapan model pembelajaran LOI-MOI dengan virtual laboratory pada materi teori kinetik gas. Desain penelitian yang digunakan pre-experimental design dengan pola one group pretest and posttest. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI yang terdiri dari 30 peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan proses sains, tes level pemahaman konsep, skala sikap, dan lembar validasi instrumen serta instrumen lainnya. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan indeks V untuk validitas instrumen dan n-gain untuk mengukur peningkatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model LOI-MOI dengan virtual laboratory meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains denngan n-gain 0,56 atau kategori sedang dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dengan n-gain 0,77 atau kategori tinggi. Level pemahaman peserta didik secara umum meningkat pada setiap konsep yang diberikan. Maka dari itu, penerapan model pembelajaran LOI-MOI dengan virtual laboratory dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan level pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran fisika. This study aims to obtain an overview of the improvement in students’ science process skills and levels of understanding in the kinetic theory of gases through the implementation of the LOI-MOI learning model with a virtual laboratory in the kinetic theory of gases. The research design employed was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest pattern. The subjects of this study were 30 students of grade XI. The research instruments consisted of science process skills test, levels of understanding test, student attitude scale, validation sheets, and other supporting instruments. Data analysis was conducted using the V index for instrument validity and n-gain to measure improvement. The results showed that the implementation of the LOI-MOI model with a virtual laboratory improved science process skills with n-gain of 0.56 (moderate category) and students’ understanding with n-gain of 0.77 (high category). The students’ levels of understanding generally improved for each concept presented. Therefore, the implementation of the LOI-MOI learning model with a virtual laboratory can serve as an effective solution to enhance science process skills and levels of understanding in physics learning.
