Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara komprehensif mengenai desain didaktis yang berdasarkan learning obstacle pada siswa dalam pemahaman konsep pada materi perbandingan trigonometri. Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada penelitian kualitatif dengan Didactical Desain Reseacrh (DDR). Subjek penelitian adalah tujuh dari tiga puluh siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) kelas XI di Majalengka yang dipilih berdasarkan pertimbangan dapat mewakili learning obstacle pada materi perbandingan trigonometri. Pemilihan subjek didasarkan pada hasil tes uraian siswa kemudian ditelurusi lebih lanjut dengan wawancara siswa untuk mengidentifikasi secara mendalam learning obstacle yang dialami siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi data yaitu tes tertulis, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami berbagai learning obstacles, meliputi epistemological obstacles berupa kesulitan dalam memilih dan membedakan penggunaan nilai perbandingan trigonometri (Sin, Cos, dan Tan) serta kebingungan dalam menerapkan identitas trigonometri pada permasalahan kontekstual; ontogenic obstacles berupa keterbatasan pengalaman belajar yang menyebabkan siswa keliru menentukan tanda nilai trigonometri di berbagai kuadran dan lupa menerapkan konsep yang telah diketahui; serta hambatan terkait keterampilan prasyarat seperti operasi pecahan dan bentuk akar yang mempengaruhi kemampuan penyelesaian soal trigonometri; dan didactical obstacle yang disebabkan oleh sumber bahan ajar yang belum memadai dan lengkap sehingga guru harus menambahkan materi tambahan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian learning osbtacle yang teridentifikasi maka disusunlah desain didaktis rekomendasi pada materi perbandingan trigonometri dengan model pembelajaran discovery learning. This study aims to comprehensively describe a didactical design based on students’ learning obstacles in understanding the concept of trigonometric ratios. The research is grounded in a qualitative approach using Didactical Design Research (DDR). The research subjects were seven out of thirty eleventh-grade senior high school students in Majalengka, selected based on their representation of learning obstacles in the trigonometric ratio topic. Subject selection was carried out through the results of students’ descriptive tests, which were then further investigated through student interviews to identify in depth the learning obstacles encountered. Data were collected using data triangulation, namely written tests, interviews, and document analysis. The results show that students experienced various learning obstacles, including epistemological obstacles in the form of difficulties in selecting and distinguishing the use of trigonometric ratios (sine, cosine, and tangent) and confusion in applying trigonometric identities to contextual problems; ontogenic obstacles in the form of limited learning experiences that led to errors in determining the sign of trigonometric values in different quadrants and forgetting to apply previously learned concepts; as well as obstacles related to prerequisite skills such as operations with fractions and radicals, which affected their ability to solve trigonometry problems; and didactical obstacles caused by insufficient and incomplete learning resources, requiring teachers to provide additional material. Based on the identified learning obstacles, a recommended didactical design for the trigonometric ratio topic was developed using the discovery learning model.
