    Abstract

    Kemampuan memecahkan masalah merupakan salah satu kompetensi penting yang perlu dimiliki peserta didik. Namun kenyataannya di SD, pengembangan kemampuan ini masih belum banyak diperhatikan oleh para guru sehingga menyebabkan peserta didik kurang terampil dalam menghadapi permasalahan matematika. Salah satu faktor penyebabnya adalah kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran, serta kebiasaan guru yang hanya mengambil soal dari buku. Selain itu, metode ajar yang digunakan cenderung didominasi oleh ceramah dan pemberian tugas, sehingga tidak banyak melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu media pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu menggabungkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kreativitas, serta memberi ruang lebih besar bagi pengalaman dan partisipasi aktif peserta didik dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah RME. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk merancang dan mengembangkan komik digital berbasis RME pada materi operasi pembagian bilangan cacah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket, pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi dan soal tes. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas III dan guru. Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa komik digital berbasis RME dengan memperoleh penilaian dari validator ahli sebesar 89,10% dengan interpretasi “sangat layak”. Tanggapan dari peserta didik sebesar 94,44% dan tanggapan guru sebesar 95% dengan interpretasi “sangat layak”. Terdapat peningkatan yang sangat signifikan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik setelah menggunakan komik digital berbasis RME. Problem-solving ability is one of the essential competencies that students must possess. However, in elementary schools, the development of this skill has not received much attention from teachers, resulting in students being less skilled in dealing with mathematical problems. One contributing factor is the underutilization of instructional media and the common practice of teachers relying solely on textbook questions. Moreover, the teaching methods employed tend to be dominated by lectures and assignments, which do not actively engage students. Therefore, there is a need for instructional media based on a learning approach that can integrate knowledge, skills, and creativity, while providing greater space for students' experiences and active participation in problem-solving. One such approach is Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This study aims to design and develop a digital comic based on RME for the topic of whole number division operations. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The instruments used include questionnaires, interview guidelines, observation sheets, and test items. The research subjects are third-grade students and teachers. This study resulted in a product in the form of an RME-based digital comic, which received an expert validation score of 89.10%, interpreted as "very feasible." Student responses reached 94.44%, and teacher responses reached 95%, both of which were interpreted as "very feasible." There was a significant improvement in students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities after using the RME-based digital comic.
