    Abstract

    Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis terutama pada materi data statistik perlu dimiliki siswa kelas V karena kemampuan ini merupakan dasar untuk menguasai kemampuan lain pada pelajaran matematika. Maka berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran RADEC dan pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction) terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan tipe kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest group design dan pretest posttest control group design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 44 orang siswa SD kelas V yang tersebar di dua sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Tanjungsiang Kabupaten Subang. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (i) pembelajaran RADEC dan pembelajaran langsung berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perolehan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar, (ii) kriteria peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran RADEC dan pembelajaran langsung termasuk dalam kriteria sedang, dan (iii) pembelajaran RADEC pengaruhnya lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran langsung terhadap perolehan dan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sekolah dasar. The ability to understand mathematical concepts, especially in statistical data, needs to be possessed by fifth-grade students because this ability is the basis for mastering other skills in mathematics. Therefore, based on this, this study aims to analyze and describe the differences in the effects of RADEC learning and direct instruction on the acquisition and improvement of elementary school students' mathematical concept comprehension skills. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, employing a one-group pretest-posttest group design and a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study are 44 fifth-grade elementary school students distributed across two public elementary schools in Tanjungsiang Subdistrict, Subang Regency. This study concluded that: (i) RADEC learning and direct learning significantly influenced the acquisition of mathematical concept understanding among elementary school students, (ii) the criteria for improving mathematical concept understanding among students who received RADEC learning and direct learning were moderate, and (iii) RADEC instruction has a higher impact than direct instruction on the acquisition and improvement of elementary school students' mathematical concept comprehension skills.
