    Abstract

    Self determination yang tinggi penting bagi siswa untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam akademik, pribadi, sosial, dan karir. Self determination yang rendah dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor instrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Namun, tidak semua siswa memiliki self determination positif dan tidak semua siswa beruntung mendapatkan dukungan sosial dari orangtua, teman, ataupun guru. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan self determination pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional study. Pengumpulan data menggunakan sampel jenuh atau census sampling. Temuan penelitian menunjukan lebih dari setengahnya siswa berada pada kategori sedang pada self determination (56%) dan dukungan sosial (58%). Hasil uji korelasi spearman’s rho menunjukkan hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan self determination memiliki arah hubungan yang positif, namun hubungan tersebut tidak signifikan secara statistik. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menunjukan dukungan sosial memengaruhi self determination sebesar 0,6% sedangkan sisanya 99,4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan adanya layanan BK dengan pendekatan interaktif dan reflektif untuk membantu siswa membangun kesadaran diri, kemandirian, dan hubungan sosial yang mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis serta perkembangan akademik. High self-determination is important for students to achieve academic, personal, social, and career success. Low self-determination can be influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. However, not all students have positive self-determination and not all students are fortunate to get social support from parents, friends, or teachers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between social support and self-determination in high school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional study design. Data collection used saturated samples or census sampling. The findings of the study showed that more than half of the students were in the moderate category in self-determination (56%) and social support (58%). The results of the Spearman's rho correlation test showed that the relationship between social support and self-determination had a positive relationship direction, but the relationship was not statistically significant. The results of the simple linear regression test showed that social support influenced self-determination by 0.6% while the remaining 99.4% were influenced by other factors not studied. Based on these findings, it is recommended that there be a BK service with an interactive and reflective approach to help students build self-awareness, independence, and social relationships that support psychological well-being and academic development.
