    Abstract

    Website merupakan media informasi krusial bagi institusi pendidikan, namun banyak yang mengalami kendala Usability dengan skor System Usability Scale (SUS) rata-rata 56.5, di bawah standar industri 68.Website Kampus UPI di Cibiru menghadapi masalah usability yang kritis, yang terbukti dari skor awal System Usability Scale (SUS) sebesar 21.4, menempatkannya dalam kategori "sangat buruk" (awful). Analisis mendalam mengidentifikasi akar masalah pada tata letak yang membingungkan, navigasi yang tidak intuitif, seringnya terjadi kesalahan teknis, dan pengalaman pengguna yang buruk pada perangkat seluler—platform akses utama bagi mayoritas pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang Website tersebut guna meningkatkan usability dan efektivitas navigasi secara signifikan. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah User-Centered Design (UCD), yang memfokuskan proses desain pada kebutuhan dan model mental pengguna. Sebagai teknik inti, metode Hybrid Card Sorting diterapkan secara digital untuk membangun kembali arsitektur informasi yang logis dan berpusat pada pengguna. Solusi desain kemudian diimplementasikan menggunakan WordPress dan Elementor untuk memastikan fungsionalitas dan desain responsif. Evaluasi pasca-implementasi dilakukan melalui pengujian SUS dan Tree Testing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan dramatis: skor SUS melonjak sebesar 61.87 poin menjadi 83.27, mengubah peringkatnya menjadi "luar biasa" (excellent). Selain itu, Tree Testing memvalidasi arsitektur informasi baru dengan peningkatan tingkat keberhasilan pencarian informasi sebesar 16.8%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa implementasi UCD dan Card Sorting secara efektif dapat mentransformasi usability dan navigasi Website institusi pendidikan tinggi. --------- Websites are a crucial information medium for educational institutions, yet many face usability challenges with an average System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 56.5, below the industry standard of 68. The UPI Campus in Cibiru Website faced a critical usability problem, evidenced by an initial SUS score of 21.4, placing it in the "awful" category. In-depth analysis identified the root causes as a confusing layout, unintuitive navigation, frequent technical errors, and a poor user experience on mobile devices—the primary access platform for the majority of users.This research aimed to redesign the Website to significantly improve usability and navigational effectiveness. The methodology used was User-Centered Design (UCD), which focuses the design process on user needs and mental models. As a core technique, the Hybrid Card Sorting method was digitally implemented to rebuild a logical, user-centric information architecture. The design solution was then implemented using WordPress and Elementor to ensure functionality and responsive design.Post-implementation evaluation was conducted through SUS and Tree Testing. The results showed a dramatic improvement: the SUS score increased by 61.87 points to 83.27, changing its rating to "excellent." Furthermore, Tree Testing validated the new information architecture with a 16.8% increase in the information-finding success rate. These findings prove that the implementation of UCD and Card Sorting can effectively transform the usability and navigation of a higher education institution's Website.
