    Abstract

    Kemampuan membaca permulaan merupakan dasar penting dalam pembelajaran di jenjang sekolah dasar. Namun, pelaksanaannya masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dari aspek internal seperti motivasi belajar dan kemampuan kognitif, maupun dari aspek eksternal seperti lingkungan belajar yang kurang mendukung serta keterbatasan sarana. Kesulitan yang sering muncul antara lain membedakan huruf vokal dan konsonan, menggabungkan huruf, serta mengucapkan fonem dengan tepat. Upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dapat dilakukan melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berbasis metode Struktural Analitik Sintetik (SAS) dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Design and Development (DnD) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi angket analisis kebutuhan, angket validasi ahli, angket respons pengguna, pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi. Proses pengembangan melibatkan dosen pembimbing serta para ahli dalam bidang media, materi, bahasa, dan pedagogi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan media memperoleh skor rata-rata dari ahli media sebesar 91,52%, ahli materi 90%, ahli bahasa 90%, dan ahli pedagogi 84%, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 88,88% dan berada pada kategori “sangat layak”. Respons pengguna juga sangat baik dengan rata-rata 92%. Media ini dinilai interaktif dan mampu meningkatkan minat belajar siswa melalui tampilan visual, audio, video, dan permainan edukatif. media pembelajaran digital berbasis metode SAS layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan. Penelitian berikutnya diharapkan dapat pengembangan lebih lanjut dengan penambahan materi yang lebih beragam agar media dapat digunakan dalam jangka waktu lebih lama serta berdampak tidak hanya pada motivasi belajar, tetapi juga pada peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Early reading skills are a fundamental foundation in elementary school learning. However, its implementation still faces various challenges, both from internal factors such as low learning motivation and cognitive ability, and external factors such as an unsupportive learning environment and limited facilities. Common difficulties include distinguishing between vowels and consonants, combining letters, and accurately pronouncing phonemes. One effort to address these issues is through the use of engaging learning media that align with students’ characteristics. This study aims to develop a digital learning media based on the Structural Analytic Synthetic (SAS) method for early reading instruction. The study employed a Design and Development (DnD) approach using the ADDIE development model. The instruments used included needs analysis questionnaires, expert validation questionnaires, user response questionnaires, interview guidelines, and observation sheets. The development process involved supervisors and experts in media, content, language, and pedagogy. The validation results showed that the media received an average score of 91.52% from media experts, 90% from content experts, 90% from language experts, and 84% from pedagogy experts, with an overall average of 88.88%, categorized as “highly feasible.” User responses were also very positive, with an average of 92%. The media was considered interactive and effective in increasing students’ learning interest through visual, audio, video, and educational game elements.The digital learning media based on the SAS method is considered suitable for use in early reading instruction. Future research is expected to further develop the media by expanding the content so it can be used over a longer period and impact not only students’ learning motivation but also their early reading skills.
