Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group dan melibatkan 55 siswa kelas V dari dua SD Negeri di Kota Cimahi. Sebelumnya dilakukan tes kemampuan awal matematis untuk melihat kesetaraan kemampuan siswa pada setiap kelas dan mengelompokkan siswa menjadi kelompok tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis, dan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan uji perbedaan rerata menggunakan uji t, ANOVA satu jalur dan Kruskal Wallis, juga uji korelasi menggunakan Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Terdapat perbedaan signifikan peningkatan kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh memperoleh model PBL dengan pendekatan TaRL; Terdapat perbedaan signifikan peningkatan kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan TaRL dengan yang tidak memperoleh pendekatan TaRL; Terdapat perbedaan signifikan peningkatan kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang memperoleh pendekatan TaRL ditinjau dari KAM; Terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis di kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, maka direkomendasikan kepada pihak sekolah dan guru untuk menggunakan model PBL dengan pendekatan TaRL dalam meningkatkan kemampuan representasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis. Adapun bagi peneliti berikutnya direkomendasikan untuk melakukan penelitian terkait penerapan TaRL terhadap peningkatan kemampuan matematis lainnya pada materi dan jenjang kelas yang berbeda. ------- The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group, involving 55 fifth-grade students from two public elementary schools in Cimahi City. Prior to the study, an initial mathematical ability test was conducted to assess the equivalence of students' abilities across classes and to group them into high, medium, and low ability groups. The instruments used included a mathematical representation and problem-solving ability test and an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using mean difference tests with t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis tests, as well as correlation tests using Spearman's correlation. The research results showed that: There was a significant difference in the improvement of mathematical representation and problem-solving skills among students who received the PBL model with the TaRL approach; There was a significant difference in the improvement of mathematical representation and problem-solving skills between students who received the TaRL approach and those who did not; There was a significant difference in the improvement of mathematical representation and problem-solving skills among students who received the TaRL approach when viewed from the KAM; There was a strong relationship between mathematical representation and problem-solving skills in the experimental class. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that schools and teachers use the PBL model with the TaRL approach to improve mathematical representation and problem-solving skills. For future researchers, it is recommended to conduct research related to the application of TaRL on the improvement of other mathematical skills in different subjects and grade levels.
