    Abstract

Water pollution is a serious problem that contradicts SDG point 6 regarding the availability of clean water and sanitation. Low sustainability literacy and students' problem-solving abilities are challenges in education. This study aims to reveal the effect of integrated problem-based learning SDG point 6 on improving sustainability literacy and problem-solving abilities of high school students on water pollution material. The research method used was a quasi-experiment using a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research sample used was 70 first-grade high school students. The experimental class used integrated problem-based learning SDG point 6. The control class used discovery learning. The research instruments including observation sheets for learning implementation, descriptive questions on sustainability literacy, descriptive questions on problem-solving abilities, and student response questionnaires on integrated problem-based learning SDG point 6. The results of the study showed that the sustainability literacy of both classes experienced a low increase and there was no significant difference. The problem-solving abilities of the experimental class experienced a moderate increase and the control class experienced a low increase. Students responded positively to problem-based learning integrated with SDG point 6. Problem-based learning integrated with SDG point 6 positively impacted sustainability literacy achievement, with superior improvements in problem-solving skills and abilities, particularly in the implementation of solutions to problems in the Cimanuk tributary area caused by human activity. However, adjustments to the context of sustainability literacy in the instruments are needed, along with a longer learning duration.
