    Abstract

    Rendahnya penguasaan kosakata pada anak berkebutuhan khusus merupakan isu kritis yang mempengaruhi kualitas secara signifikan dengan 60% diantaranya mengalami kesulitan dalam penguasaan bahasa, termasuk kosakata yang sering kali menjadi hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran saat ini hanya dirancang untuk anak pada umumnya tanpa mempertimbangkan kebutuhan anak berkebutuhan khusus termasuk tunarungu. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini peneliti bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah media pembelajaran berupa buku cerita bergambar sebagai pengenalan kosakata yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran kenampakan alam bagi siswa tunarungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahap diantaranya Analysis, Design, Development, Implmention dan Evaluation. Proses perancangan meliputi analisis kebutuhan siswa tunarungu di SLBN A Citeureup, dengan perancangan konsep cerita dan visual, serta pengembangan produk menjadi buku cerita. Produk divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan media, serta diimplementasikan melalui uji coba pada siswa tunarungu tingkat SMP luar biasa. Hasil evaluasi respon secara pengujian analisis deskriptif dengan siswa menunjukkan bahwa produk ini termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Layak" dengan beberapa catatan revisi. Dengan demikian, buku cerita interaktif ini dinyatakan berhasil dan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk pengenalan kosakata bagi anak tunarungu. ---------- The low level of vocabulary mastery among children with special needs is a critical issue that significantly affects quality, with 60% of them experiencing difficulties in language mastery, including vocabulary, which often becomes an obstacle in the learning process. Current learning media are only designed for children in general without considering the needs of children with special needs, including the deaf. To address this issue, the researcher aims to design an educational medium in the form of an illustrated storybook as an introduction to vocabulary used in learning about natural phenomena for deaf students. This study employs the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The design process includes analyzing the needs of deaf students at SLBN A Citeureup, designing the story concept and visuals, and developing the product into a storybook. The product was validated by subject matter and media experts and implemented through a pilot test with deaf students at a special middle school. The evaluation results, based on descriptive analysis with the students, indicate that the product falls into the “Highly Suitable” category with some revision notes. Thus, this interactive storybook is deemed successful and suitable for use as a learning medium for vocabulary introduction for deaf children.
