Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe shared berbasis praktikum untuk meningkatkan kemampan kognitif dan mendeskripsikan sikap terhadap science. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi eksperimental design adapun bentuknya adalah nonequivalent control group design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan soal kemampuan kognitif, skala sikap, format wawancara, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe shared berbasis praktikum sudah sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. Dari uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t didapatkan nilai t hitung sebesar 4,05 untuk kemampuan kognitif dengan t tabel sebesar 2,00, karena t hitung > t tabel, menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan kognitif antara kelas ekperimen dan kontrol berbeda secara signifikan. Pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe shared berbasis praktikum yang diterapkan dikelas eksperimen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dengan nilai N-gain 0,43(kategori sedang). Sedangkan pembelajaran berbasis praktikum tanpa keterpaduan yang diterapkan dikelas kontrol mendapatkan nilai N-gain 0,32 (kategori sedang). Dari uji beda dua rata-rata pada hasil posttest menunjukkan bahwa sikap siswa terhadap science tidak mengalami perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, yang berarti sikap siswa terhadap science pada kedua kelas sama. Guru menanggapi positif terhadap implementasi pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe shared berbasis praktikum. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA terpadu dengan tipe shared berbasis praktikum dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampan kognitif siswa. The subjects were students of SMP in Bandung Barat Grade VIII. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the nonequivalent control group design. Data was collected using a test of cognitive abilities, attitude scales, interview format, and feasibility study observation sheet. The results showed that the feasibility study with the integrated science learning type shared based laboratory was been implemented and it was planned. From hypothesis test with t-test showed that t-count value 4,05 for student’s cognitive abilities, with t-table value 2,00, because t table < t-count that showed Increasing student’s cognitive abilities between the class experiment and control was different significantly. Integrated science learning type shared based laboratory applied experiment class can improve student’s cognitive abilities with N-gain value 0.43 (medium category). Meanwhile laboratory based learning without integrated applied control class with N-gain value of 0.32 (medium category) for cognitive abilities. Attitudes to science between two class not have difference. Teachers show positive respond for application integrated science learning type shared based laboratory. It can be concluded that application integrated science learning type shared based laboratory can be use to increase student’s cognitive abilities.
