    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model yang melibatkan proses perancangan pada pembelajaran literasi musik melalui social network sites (SNS) yang dirancang khusus untuk mahasiswa pendidikan musik. Fokus utama penelitian ini meliputi: (1) identifikasi penyebab rendahnya literasi musik mahasiswa; (2) perancangan konsep model pembelajaran berbasis SNS; (3) implementasi model dalam konteks perkuliahan; (4) peningkatan kemampuan literasi musik melalui penerapan model; dan (5) efektivitas model tersebut dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Design Based Research (DBR) dengan kombinasi pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Musik di STKIP Citra Bakti Ngada Flores, NTT. Model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menggunakan pendekatan flipped classroom dengan sintaks DESTA (Discover, Engage, Share, Transform, Assess). Proses pembelajaran dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: Pre-class (eksplorasi awal melalui media sosial seperti Facebook Group Class), In-class (diskusi langsung dan praktik di kelas), dan Out-of-Class (refleksi dan evaluasi melalui produksi video tugas yang diunggah ke YouTube dan dibagikan di Facebook). Model ini tidak hanya bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman konseptual mahasiswa terhadap unsur-unsur musik (seperti notasi, tempo, dinamika, birama, dan tangga nada), tetapi juga meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan keterampilan digital mahasiswa melalui penggunaan platform digital dan gaya belajar mahasiswa digital-native. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi musik mahasiswa belum berkembang optimal akibat minimnya latar belakang pendidikan musik, terbatasnya jumlah dosen yang kompeten, dan rendahnya pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Penerapan model DESTA berbasis SNS terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap konsep musik dasar secara signifikan. Rata-rata nilai mahasiswa meningkat dari 50,88 pada pre-test menjadi 62,29 pada post-test. Selain itu, validasi ahli menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas model mencapai lebih dari 84%, meskipun masih diperlukan perbaikan pada aspek variasi sumber belajar dan transparansi penilaian. Model ini dinilai efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aktif, reflektif, dan relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi digital di era modern. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ini memiliki potensi besar untuk diterapkan secara luas dalam konteks pendidikan musik guna meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa pendidikan musik di era digital. This study aims to develop a model that involves the design process in music literacy learning through specially designed social network sites (SNS) for music education students. The main focus of the study includes: (1) identifying the causes of low music literacy among students; (2) designing a concept of an SNS-based learning model; (3) implementing the model in the lecture context; (4) improving music literacy skills through the application of the model; and (5) evaluating the effectiveness of the model in learning. This research employed the Design-Based Research (DBR) method with a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were students of the Music Education Study Program at STKIP Citra Bakti, Ngada Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The developed learning model used a flipped classroom approach with the DESTA syntax (Discover, Engage, Share, Transform, Assess). The learning process was carried out in three main stages: Pre-class (initial exploration through social media such as Facebook Group Class), In-class (direct discussion and practice in class), and Out-of-Class (reflection and evaluation through video assignments uploaded to YouTube and shared on Facebook). This model not only aims to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding of musical elements (such as notation, tempo, dynamics, time signatures, and scales), but also to enhance their critical thinking, collaboration, and digital skills through the use of digital platforms aligned with the learning styles of digital-native students. The results of the study show that students’ music literacy had not developed optimally due to the lack of prior music education background, the limited number of competent lecturers, and the low use of technology in learning. The implementation of the SNS-based DESTA model significantly improved students’ understanding of basic music concepts. The average student score increased from 50.88 on the pre-test to 62.29 on the post-test. Furthermore, expert validation indicated that the model’s effectiveness level reached more than 84%, although improvements are still needed in terms of learning resource variety and assessment transparency. This model is considered effective in creating an active, reflective, and relevant learning environment in line with the development of digital technology in the modern era. Therefore, this learning model has great potential to be widely applied in the context of music education to enhance the competence of music education students in the digital age.
