Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar yang ditandai dengan kurangnya kelancaran, ke runutan ide, intonasi, ekspresi, dan kepercayaan diri. Kajian teori berlandaskan konsep keterampilan berbicara, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Round Robin berbasis multimodalitas, serta pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) sebagai pembanding. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment tipe The Matching Only Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Ciluluk II (kelas eksperimen) dan SDN Jayasari (kelas kontrol) yang masing-masing berjumlah 22 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes keterampilan berbicara (pre-test dan post-test), dokumentasi, serta rekaman, dan dianalisis dengan uji deskriptif, uji normalitas, homogenitas, serta t-test berpasangan dan independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Round Robin berbasis multimodalitas berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa, dengan peningkatan rata-rata yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan TPS. Kesimpulannya, Round Robin berbasis multimodalitas efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar.-------- This study was motivated by the low speaking skills of elementary school students, characterized by a lack of fluency, coherence of ideas, intonation, expression, and self-confidence. The theoretical framework is based on the concepts of speaking skills, the cooperative learning model Round Robin with a multimodal approach, and Think Pair Share (TPS) as a comparison. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design of The Matching Only Pre-test-Post-test Control Group Design. The sample consisted of fifth-grade students from SDN Ciluluk II (experimental class) and SDN Jayasari (control class), each with 22 students. Data were collected through speaking skills tests (pre-test and post-test), documentation, and recordings, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired and independent t-tests. The results revealed that the Round Robin multimodal approach had a significant effect on improving students’ speaking skills, with a higher average improvement compared to TPS. In conclusion, the Round Robin multimodal approach is effective for teaching Indonesian language to enhance speaking skills among elementary school students.
