    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pesatnya kemajuan teknologi digital yang telah mengubah pola konsumsi media pada anak, khususnya dengan meningkatnya penggunaan YouTube sebagai salah satu platform hiburan utama. Anak usia sekolah dasar merupakan kelompok yang rentan terhadap pengaruh media, terutama dalam aspek pembentukan karakter dan perilaku disiplin. Tayangan YouTube yang sangat beragam, mulai dari konten edukatif hingga yang mengandung unsur kekerasan dan perilaku negatif, berpotensi memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap perkembangan kepribadian anak. Di tengah tingginya penetrasi internet dan akses gawai di kalangan anak-anak Indonesia, penting untuk mengkaji secara mendalam bagaimana pola konsumsi tayangan YouTube memengaruhi perilaku disiplin anak, khususnya pada usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola konsumsi tayangan YouTube serta dampaknya terhadap perilaku disiplin anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Babakan, Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan siswa, orang tua, dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola konsumsi Pola konsumsi tayangan YouTube pada anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Babakan menunjukkan mayoritas anak menonton YouTube setiap hari dengan durasi 1–3 jam, terutama pada siang dan malam hari, konten yang paling disukai anak meliputi kartun, game, mukbang, dan horor. Dampak tayangan YouTube terhadap perilaku disiplin anak usia sekolah dasar terlihat dalam berbagai aspek, seperti terganggunya rutinitas belajar, tidur larut malam, kebiasaan menunda tugas, dan keterlambatan datang ke sekolah, serta peniruan gaya bicara dan perilaku dari tayangan yang ditonton. Peran orang tua dan guru terbukti sangat penting dalam mengendalikan dampak tersebut, melalui pengawasan, pembatasan waktu, dan pengarahan konten. ------- This research is motivated by the rapid advancement of digital technology that has changed media consumption patterns among children, particularly with the increasing use of YouTube as a primary entertainment platform. Elementary school-aged children are a group that is vulnerable to media influence, especially in the aspect of character formation and disciplinary behavior. The wide variety of YouTube shows, ranging from educational content to those containing elements of violence and negative behavior, has the potential to have a significant impact on children's personality development. Amid high internet penetration and access to devices among Indonesian children, it is important to examine in depth how YouTube consumption patterns influence children's disciplinary behavior, especially at elementary school age. This study aims to determine YouTube consumption patterns and their impact on the disciplinary behavior of elementary school-aged children in Babakan Village, Cirebon Regency. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with students, parents, and teachers. The results show that the consumption patterns of YouTube viewing among elementary school-aged children in Babakan Village show that the majority of children watch YouTube every day for a duration of 1–3 hours, especially during the day and night. The most popular content includes cartoons, games, mukbang, and horror. The impact of YouTube on elementary school-aged children's disciplinary behavior is evident in various aspects, such as disrupted learning routines, late nights, procrastination, and late arrivals to school. Parents and teachers have proven crucial in mitigating these impacts through supervision, time limits, and content guidance.
