Abstract
Perkembangan motorik halus merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak usia dini karena berhubungan erat dengan aktivitas sehari-hari anak, seperti mengancingkan baju, memegang alat tulis dan kesiapan belajar anak. Namun, kenyataannya masih banyak anak usia 4-5 tahun yang mengalami kesulitan saat melakukan kegiatan seperti, meronce, menggunting, menempel dan sebagainya yang dapat menghambat kesiapan anak belajar di jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pembelajaran disekolah yang berfokus pada aspek perkembangan motorik halus. Maka dari itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dari kegiatan practical life metode Montessori terhadap perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pra-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak berusia 4-5 tahun di RA Yasdjanur Bogor dengan jumlah 10 anak. Treatment dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali dengan frekuensi 2 kali dalam satu minggu. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan melakukan uji statistik non parametrik yaitu, uji Wilcoxon Signed Test. Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan uji statistik non parametrik uji Wilcoxon Signed Test yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,005 < 0,05 yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest setelah diberikan perlakuan kegiatan practical life metode Montessori. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan practical life metode Montessori memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan perkembangan motorik halus anak usia 4-5 tahun. Fine motor development is an important aspect of early childhood development because it is closely related to children's daily activities, such as buttoning clothes, holding writing instruments, and readiness to learn. However, in reality, many children aged 4-5 years still experience difficulties when performing activities such as stringing, cutting, pasting, and so on, which can hinder their readiness to learn at the next level of education. This is due to the lack of school-based learning focused on fine motor skill development. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an effect of Montessori practical life activities on the fine motor skill development of 4-5-year-old children. The research method used in this study is a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study consisted of all children aged 4-5 years at RA Yasdjanur Bogor, totaling 10 children. The treatment was conducted 8 times with a frequency of 2 times per week. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively using non-parametric statistical tests, specifically the Wilcoxon Signed Test. The results of this study, based on the non-parametric statistical test (Wilcoxon Signed Test), yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.005 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results after the Montessori practical life activity intervention. Therefore, it can be concluded that the practical life activities of the Montessori method have a significant effect on children's fine motor development.
