Abstract
Mahasiswa tingkat akhir kerap mengalami tekanan akademik yang dapat memicu stres, terutama saat menyusun skripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan otonomi dosen dan dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang sedang menyusun skripsi di Kota Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional serta analisis regresi linear sederhana dan berganda. Sebanyak 414 mahasiswa tingkat akhir dari berbagai perguruan tinggi di Kota Bandung menjadi sampel penelitian yang diperoleh melalui teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Skala Stres Akademik yang dikembangkan oleh Dzalil (2023) berdasarkan teori Gadzella, The Learning Climate Questionnaire (LCQ) yang telah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi oleh Indrianingrum (2020) untuk pengukuran skala dukungan otonomi dosen, serta Instrumen Dukungan Sosial Orang Tua yaitu Social Provisions Scale yang sudah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi oleh Yudhantara (2016). Seluruh skala telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya sebelum digunakan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan dukungan otonomi dosen dan dukungan sosial orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap stres akademik. Secara parsial, dukungan otonomi dosen berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap stres akademik, demikian pula dukungan sosial orang tua. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi persepsi mahasiswa terhadap dukungan dari dosen dan orang tua, maka semakin rendah tingkat stres akademik yang dirasakan. Final-year undergraduate students often experience academic pressures that may trigger stress, particularly during the thesis-writing process. This study aims to examine the influence of lecturer autonomy support and parental social support on academic stress among students who are currently working on their thesis in Bandung City. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed, using both simple and multiple linear regression analyses. A total of 414 final-year students from various universities in Bandung City participated in the study, selected through a convenience sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of the Academic Stress Scale developed by Dzalil (2023) based on Gadzella’s theory, the Learning Climate Questionnaire (LCQ) adapted and modified by Indrianingrum (2020) to measure lecturer autonomy support, and the Social Provisions Scale for parental social support adapted and modified by Yudhantara (2016). All instruments had been tested for validity and reliability prior to use. The analysis results indicate that, simultaneously, lecturer autonomy support and parental social support have a significant influence on academic stress. Partially, both lecturer autonomy support and parental social support have a significant negative influence on academic stress. These findings suggest that the higher the students’ perceived support from lecturers and parents, the lower the level of academic stress they experience.
