Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya prestasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran videografi serta minimnya penggunaan media digital yang akrab dengan kehidupan sehari-hari siswa, seperti TikTok, sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran. TikTok dianggap memiliki potensi edukatif karena menyajikan konten yang singkat, visual, dan menarik untuk pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan TikTok sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar videografi, serta menganalisis peningkatan hasil belajar pada aspek kognitif seperti menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan mencipta. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain non-equivalent control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas XII DKV di SMK Negeri 6 Jakarta Selatan, yang masing-masing berperan sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes objektif pre-test dan post-test yang telah melalui proses validasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan TikTok memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 81,11 dengan gain 44,22, lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang memperoleh rata-rata 69,11 dengan gain 29,56. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel, sehingga hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Kesimpulannya, TikTok efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar videografi pada siswa. This research was motivated by the low academic achievement of students in the videography subject and the limited use of digital media familiar to students’ daily lives, such as TikTok, as a learning aid. TikTok is considered to have educational potential because it presents short, visual, and engaging content for learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using TikTok as a learning medium on videography learning outcomes, as well as to analyze improvements in cognitive aspects such as analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two twelfth-grade Visual Communication Design classes at SMK Negeri 6 South Jakarta, each serving as the experimental and control groups. The research instrument consisted of objective pre-test and post-test items that had undergone a validation process. The results showed that the use of TikTok had a significant effect on improving learning outcomes. The experimental class achieved an average post-test score of 81.11 with a gain of 44.22, higher than the control class, which scored an average of 69.11 with a gain of 29.56. Hypothesis testing revealed that the t-calculated value was greater than the t-table value, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). In conclusion, TikTok is effective as a learning medium to improve videography learning outcomes among students.
