    Abstract

Generation Alpha grew up in a digital environment that shaped short, visual, and interactive learning preferences. However, the dominance of digital media often causes distractions and reduces the focus of learning. This study aims to explore the perspective of Generation Alpha students towards byte-size content-based print learning media in presentation design learning, with a focus on experiences, perceptions, constructed meanings, and their impact on learning motivation. The research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological strategy. Participants consisted of nine junior high school students in grades 7–9 in Bandung who were selected through purposive sampling. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the Colaizzi method to extract significant statements, formulate meanings, and group themes. The results of the study show three main findings. First, this medium encourages a change in students' perception that making presentations is not just a technical activity, but has an underlying design principles and theories. Second, the concise language style, relevant illustrations, and 3–4 page modular format are assessed according to the learning preferences of Generation Alpha, making it easier to understand and making the reading process more enjoyable. Third, this media has been proven to increase learning motivation because the content is concise, focused, and relevant to students' practical needs, especially in making presentations and public speaking. The conclusion of this study confirms that byte-size content-based print media is effective in increasing the understanding and learning motivation of Generation Alpha. Theoretically, this study expands the study of microlearning by emphasizing the effectiveness of compact formats on print media. Practically, this media can be an innovative alternative for teachers and educational institutions in bridging traditional learning with the needs of the digital-native generation.
