Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pengelolaan pendidikan karakter di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Kabupaten Karawang, dengan mengambil tiga sekolah sebagai studi kasus: SMAIT Harapan Umat, MAN 2 Karawang, dan SMAN 1 Telagasari. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan analisis data dengan software NVivo 12 Plus, penelitian ini menggali secara mendalam implementasi program pendidikan karakter di masing-masing sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum, pendidikan karakter di ketiga sekolah telah memberikan dampak positif pada peserta didik. Perubahan perilaku yang mengarah pada peningkatan nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, toleransi, dan peduli terhadap lingkungan sosial menjadi indikator keberhasilan program. Selain itu, terdapat korelasi antara penerapan pendidikan karakter dengan peningkatan prestasi akademik peserta didik.Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan dan kendala dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter, seperti kurangnya keterlibatan seluruh komponen sekolah, belum optimalnya evaluasi program, serta pengaruh lingkungan sosial yang dinamis. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of character education management in Karawang Regency Senior High Schools (SMA), by taking three schools as case studies: SMAIT Harapan Umat, MAN 2 Karawang, and SMAN 1 Telagasari. Using a qualitative approach and data analysis with NVivo 12 Plus software, this study explores in depth the implementation of character education programs in each school. The results show that in general, character education in the three schools has had a positive impact on students. Behavioral changes that lead to an increase in character values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and care for the social environment are indicators of the program's success. In addition, there is a correlation between the implementation of character education and the improvement of learners' academic achievement. However, this study also identified several challenges and constraints in the implementation of character education, such as the lack of involvement of all school components, not optimal program evaluation, and the influence of a dynamic social environment.
