Abstract
ABSTRAK Krisis lingkungan global menuntut pendekatan pendidikan yang tidak hanya bersifat ekologis, tetapi juga berlandaskan nilai-nilai spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis integrasi Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kesalehan lingkungan siswa di sekolah, dengan landasan bahwa pendidikan agama tidak hanya berorientasi pada aspek ritual, tetapi juga harus menumbuhkan tanggung jawab ekologis sebagai bagian dari kesalehan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus instrumental. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah telah menerapkan program lingkungan secara sistematis melalui program Adiwiyata, kaderisasi siswa, dan pembiasaan perilaku ramah lingkungan. Nilai-nilai PLH diintegrasikan ke dalam PAI melalui penguatan materi ajar, penggunaan metode kontekstual, keteladanan guru, serta aktivitas keagamaan yang membentuk kesalehan lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi tersebut berkontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter siswa yang religius, peduli lingkungan, dan bertanggung jawab secara sosial ekologis. Secara teoretis, penelitian ini memperkaya pengembangan model pendidikan agama Islam yang bersifat kontekstual serta relevan dengan isu keberlanjutan lingkungan. Secara praktis, hasil penelitian memberikan landasan bagi guru PAI untuk merancang pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan aplikatif dengan mengaitkan nilai-nilai Qur’ani pada isu lingkungan melalui kegiatan reflektif dan berbasis pengalaman nyata, sehingga siswa mampu menginternalisasi pesan moral dan spiritual dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. ABSTRACT The global environmental crisis demands an educational approach that is not only ecological in nature but also grounded in spiritual values. This study aims to describe and analyze the integration of Environmental Education into Islamic Religious Education as a strategy to enhance students’ environmental piety in schools, based on the premise that religious education should not be limited to ritual aspects but must also foster ecological responsibility as part of piety. This research employed a qualitative approach with an instrumental case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the school systematically implemented environmental programs through Adiwiyata initiatives, student cadre development, and the habituation of environmentally friendly behavior. Environmental education values were integrated into Islamic Religious Education through the reinforcement of learning materials, the use of contextual methods, teacher role modeling, and religious activities that shape students’ environmental piety. The study concludes that such integration contributes to the development of students’ character as religious, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible individuals. Theoretically, this research enriches the development of contextual models of Islamic Religious Education that are relevant to environmental sustainability issues. Practically, the findings provide a foundation for Islamic Religious Education teachers to design more contextual and applicative learning by linking Qur’anic values with environmental issues through reflective and experience-based activities, enabling students to internalize moral and spiritual messages in their daily lives.
