Abstract
Rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar menunjukkan perlunya model pembelajaran yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan gaya belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan peningkatan pada kelompok yang berbeda. Kelompok eskperimen menggunakan model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) Berbantuan Media Assemblr Edu, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Bekasi Jaya VI Kota Bekasi dengan jumlah sampel 50 siswa pada kelas 5. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group dan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang diolah berupa tes yang berasal dari pre-test dan post-test. Sedangkan data non-test berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) berbantuan media Assemblr Edu memberikan pengaruh sebesar 36,4% terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA. Kemudian, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep IPA peserta didik yang menggunakan Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) Berbantuan Media Assemblr Edu yang lebih baik dibandingkan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dengan rata-rata skor pre-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 28,12 menjadi 65,48 pada post-test, sedangkan kelas kontrol dari 26,40 menjadi 58,64. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan model Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) Berbantuan Media Assemblr Edu dapat menjadi alternatif model pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pemahaman konsep IPA siswa sekolah dasar. ----- The low level of science concept understanding among elementary school students indicates the need for an innovative learning model that aligns with students' learning styles. This study aims to examine the effect and improvement of science concept understanding in two different groups. The experimental group applied the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Assemblr Edu media, while the control group used the Problem-Based Learning model. The research was conducted at SDN Bekasi Jaya VI, Bekasi City, involving 50 fifth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments, while non-test data were obtained through interviews and documentation. The results showed that the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Assemblr Edu media had an influence of 36.4% on students' understanding of science concepts. Moreover, the experimental group experienced a greater improvement in understanding compared to the control group, with the average pre-test score increasing from 28.12 to 65.48, while the control group increased from 26.40 to 58.64. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Visual Auditory Kinesthetic (VAK) model assisted by Assemblr Edu media can be an effective alternative learning model to improve the quality of elementary students’ understanding of science concepts.
