Firas Alamanda, - and Enok Maryani, - (2025) PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INQUIRI SOSIAL TERHADAP LITERASI FINANSIAL PESERTA DIDIK FASE B SD NEGERI MAJALENGKA WETAN VII. S2 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
Financial literacy is one of the efforts to address financial phenomena such as the sandwich generation, fear of missing out, bad credit, and various investment scams. Elementary school students with good financial literacy skills are expected to be able to distinguish between wants and needs when buying food or items during recess, accurately calculate simple expenses, and not learn to incur debt from an early age. The research aims to provide financial literacy education through Social Inquiry learning. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with data collection techniques through tests. The research subjects consisted of 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy through the Social Inquiry model has an impact on the financial literacy of phase B fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Majalengka Wetan VII, with the following details; First, learning using the social inquiry model has an impact on financial literacy, with the design impact falling into the moderate category. Second, learning in the control class using the discovery learning model has an impact on students' financial literacy, with the model's influence falling into the moderate category. Third, both models have the same effect on students' financial literacy in both the experimental and control classes, which falls into the moderate category. The post-test results of the students were in the moderate category because the students had not yet reached the stage of financial literacy in the previous phase, such as reading comprehension and knowledge of arithmetic operations. Students should have reading and arithmetic skills as well as an understanding of basic financial concepts to achieve a high level of financial literacy. The social inquiry learning model provides students with the opportunity to build knowledge through social interactions, both in the classroom through discussion activities and by gathering facts through interactions with business actors around the school. Elementary school educators can map KD and deepen financial literacy according to the achievements in each class phase.
