Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Di era abad ke-21, kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan salah satu dari empat kompetensi utama yang dikenal dengan istilah 4C, yaitu Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, dan Creativity. Kemampuan ini sangat penting untuk membekali siswa agar mampu menghadapi tantangan kehidupan yang kompleks, mampu memecahkan masalah secara mandiri, serta berpikir logis, analitis, dan reflektif dalam mengambil keputusan. Tujuannya yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan media video Animaker terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sekolah dasar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas IV di SDN Bantarjaya 01 Kabupaten Bekasi, masing-masing berjumlah 25 siswa. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan video Animaker, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model ekspositori. Data yang digunakan yaitu uji kemampuan berpikir kritis berupa Pretest dan Posttest yang terdiri dari tujuh soal berupa soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh sebesar 61% terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,76 (kategori tinggi), sedangkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,44 (kategori sedang). Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan video Animaker efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. ----- This study is motivated by the low level of critical thinking skills among elementary school students. In the 21st century, critical thinking is one of the four essential competencies known as the 4Cs: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. This skill is crucial in equipping students to face complex life challenges, solve problems independently, and think logically, analytically, and reflectively in making decisions. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model assisted by Animaker video media on students’ critical thinking skills, as well as the improvement of those skills. The study employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two fourth-grade classes at SDN Bantarjaya 01, Bekasi Regency, with 25 students in each class. The experimental class was taught using the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Animaker videos, while the control class was taught using an expository model. The data were collected through a pretest and posttest consisting of seven essay questions to measure critical thinking skills. The results indicated that the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Animaker videos had an effect of 61% on students' critical thinking skills, with a significant improvement observed in the experimental class compared to the control class. The N-Gain score in the experimental class was 0.76 (high category), while the control class scored 0.44 (medium category). Therefore, the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by Animaker videos is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in social studies learning.
