Abstract
Anak tunarungu memiliki hambatan dalam kemampuan pendengaran, yang berdampak pada sedikitnya kemampuan penguasaan kosakata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media teka-teki silang bergambar untuk penguasaan kosakata kerja anak tunarungu. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain One Group pretest-posttest, sampel penelitian enam anak tunarungu kelas IX di SLB CCND. Instrumen penelitian dengan tes dan analisis data melalui Wilxocon Signed Rank Test. Hasil analisis data menunjukan adanya pengaruh terhadap penguasaan kosakata ditandai dengan peningkatan hasil belajar penguasaan kosakata kerja. Media pembelajaran teka-teki silang bergambar mendorong siswa belajar aktif untuk menguasai kosakata kerja baru. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa media pembelajaran teka-teki silang bergambar dapat menjadi pertimbangan kepada pihak sekolah, terutama para guru untuk meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata anak tunarungu. Children with hearing impairments have difficulties with hearing ability, which affects their vocabulary acquisition. This study aims to determine the effect of using illustrated crossword puzzles on the mastery of work vocabulary among hearing-impaired children. The research uses an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of six hearing-impaired children in the ninth grade at SLB CCND. The research instrument used tests and data analysis through the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the data analysis indicate an influence on vocabulary mastery, marked by an improvement in the learning outcomes of verb vocabulary mastery. The illustrated crossword puzzle learning media encourages students to actively learn and master new vocabulary. This research implies that picture crossword puzzle learning media can be considered by schools, especially teachers, to enhance the vocabulary mastery of hearing-impaired children.
