Abstract
Academic hardiness merujuk pada kapasitas individu untuk bertahan dan beradaptasi dalam menghadapi tuntutan akademik dengan mempertahankan komitmen, kontrol, dan sikap positif terhadap tantangan. Model bimbingan flow akademik berbasis nilai malaqbiq dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa di Universitas Sulawesi Barat. Pengembangan model dilandasi pada filosofi Humanisme, teori flow, serta nilai budaya Mandar malaqbiq sebagai basis konten layanan. Pengembangan model dilakukan melalui metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan pendekatan ADDIE, yang meliputi lima tahap utama: (1) analisis, (2) perancangan, (3) pengembangan, (4) implementasi, dan (5) evaluasi. Hasil profil academic hardiness menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang, dengan sebagian lainnya menunjukkan kategori rendah, dan hanya sebagian kecil yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Intervensi difokuskan pada mahasiswa dengan tingkat academic hardiness rendah, yang kemudian dibagi ke dalam kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen, untuk mengukur efektivitas intervensi yang diberikan. Model dikembangkan dan diuji melalui proses validasi rasional, uji keterlaksanaan, serta uji coba lapangan, yang menghasilkan model hipotetik dengan tiga belas komponen utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model bimbingan flow akademik berbasis nilai malaqbiq terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan academic hardiness mahasiswa secara menyeluruh pada seluruh aspek dan indikator yang diukur. Temuan memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu bimbingan dan konseling, serta membuka peluang untuk eksplorasi model bimbingan belajar berbasis nilai budaya lokal dalam konteks yang lebih luas. Academic hardiness refers to an individual's capacity to persist and adapt when facing academic demands, by maintaining commitment, a sense of control, and a positive attitude toward challenges. An academic flow counseling model based on the value of malaqbiq was developed to enhance the academic hardiness of students at the University of West Sulawesi. The development of this model is grounded in the philosophy of Humanism, Flow Theory, and the Mandar cultural value of malaqbiq, which serves as the core content of the counseling intervention. The model was developed using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, employing the ADDIE model, which consists of five main stages: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The academic hardiness profile showed that most students were in the moderate category, with some in the low category, and only a small portion in the high category. The intervention targeted students with low levels of academic hardiness, who were then divided into control and experimental groups to assess the effectiveness of the intervention provided. The model was refined and validated through rational validation, feasibility testing, and field trials, resulting in a hypothetical model comprising thirteen core components. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of the academic flow counseling model based on the value of malaqbiq is effective in improving students' academic hardiness across all measured aspects and indicators. These findings contribute to the advancement of guidance and counseling science and open opportunities for further exploration of culturally grounded learning guidance models in broader educational contexts.
