Abstract
Upaya mendukung aspek pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada anak usia dini dapat difasilitasi oleh Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Dukungan dari orang tua dan pihak sekolah dapat memberikan motivasi bagi anak dalam belajar. Keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan anak memberikan dampak positif terhadap Pendidikan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus yang cenderung memiliki kemandirian lebih mudah dibanding anak lain pada umumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran program pelibatan orang tua di Sekolah Khusus Elok Asri, kendala yang dihadapi, serta kesesuaian implementasi program pelibatan orang tua dengan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 30 Tahun 2017 tentang Pelibatan Keluarga pada Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui hasil observasi, wawancara dengan 1 orang tua, 1 orang guru, dan 1 orang Kepala Sekolah, serta dilakukan studi dokumentasi dengan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman, yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari data yang diperoleh, terdapat 9 program pelibatan orang tua yang dilaksanakan di Sekolah Khusus Elok Asri antara lain: 1) Pertemuan Orang Tua Murid dan Guru (POMG), 2) Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS), 3) Komite Sekolah, 4) Seminar Parenting, 5) Field Trip, 6) Outing Class, 7) Rapat Rutin, 8) Market Day, 9) Perayaan Kegiatan Keagamaan. Kendala yang paling banyak dihadapi oleh pihak sekolah adalah orang tua yang sibuk bekerja, dan sulit meluangkan waktu untuk terlibat aktif dalam program pelibatan orang tua. Selain itu, Sekolah Khusus Elok Asri sudah menerapkan 7 poin dasar dari kebijakan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Permendikbud) Nomor 30 Tahun 2017 Pasal 6. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan bagi pihak sekolah, orang tua, pemegang kebijakan, dan peneliti selanjutnya terkait program pelibatan orang tua. Efforts to support the aspects of growth and development in early childhood can be facilitated through Early Childhood Education. Support from both parents and the school can provide motivation for children in their learning process. Parental involvement in children's education has a positive impact, particularly on the education of children with special needs, who tend to develop independence more easily than other children in general. This study aims to provide an overview of the parental involvement program at Elok Asri Special School, the challenges encountered, and the alignment of the program's implementation with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 30 of 2017 concerning Family Involvement in the Implementation of Education. The research employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques included observations, interviews with one parent, one teacher, and the principal, as well as a documentation study using Miles and Huberman’s data analysis technique, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the collected data, there are nine parental involvement programs implemented at Elok Asri Special School, namely: 1) Parent-Teacher Meeting (POMG), 2) School Orientation Program (MPLS), 3) School Committee, 4) Parenting Seminars, 5) Field Trips, 6) Outing Classes, 7) Routine Meetings, 8) Market Day, and 9) Religious Celebration Activities. The main challenge faced by the school is that many parents are busy working and find it difficult to make time to actively participate in the parental involvement programs. Additionally, Elok Asri Special School has implemented seven key principles of the policy outlined in Article 6 of the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 30 of 2017. The research provides recommendations for schools, parents, policymakers, and future researchers concerning parental involvement programs.
