    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berlandaskan pada studi pendahuluan di sekolah dasar dengan temuan awal menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran belum optimal. Selain itu, pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga sekolah masih rendah, sehingga berdampak pada kurangnya kesadaran tanggung jawab. Oleh karena itu, peneliti bermaksud untuk mengembangkan media berupa media flip book yang memuat materi hak dan kewajiban sebagai warga sekolah dan nilai karakter tanggung jawab. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kebutuhan, perancangan, kelayakan, dan bentuk akhir dari pengembangan media flip book bermuatan karakter tanggung jawab di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Based Research (DBR) dengan model Reeves yang meliputi empat tahap: identifikasi masalah, pengembangan prototype, uji coba berulang, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan angket. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli nilai karakter, ahli media, dan ahli pedagogik. Pada uji coba 1 di SDN Sindangrasa, rata-rata skor respon peserta didik memperoleh 90,06% dan guru 89,16%. Pada uji coba 2 memperoleh skor 95,72% dari peserta didik dan 95,83% dari guru di SDN Sindangrasa, serta 96,01% dari peserta didik dan 97,5% dari guru SDN 2 Sukamaju. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media flip book yang dikembangkan dinilai sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. The study is based on a preliminary investigation conducted in elementary schools, wich revealed that the use of instructional learning media was not yet optimal. In addition, students understanding of the concepts of rights and obligations as school citizens remained low, resulting in a lack of responsibility awareness. Therefore, the researcher aimed to develop a flip book media that presents material on right and obligations as school citizens and incorporates the character value of responsibility. The purpose of this study is to describe the needs, design, feasibility, and final form of the development of a flip book media incorporating the character value of responsibility for fourth grade elementary school students. The research employed the Design Based Research (DBR) method using the Reeves model, wich consists of four stages: problem identification, prototype development, iterative testing and reflection. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. Validation was carried out by content experts, character education experts, media experts, and pedagogical experts. In the first trial at SDN Sindangrasa, the average student response score was 90,06%, and the teacher’s score was 89,16%. In the second trial, scores reached 95,72% from students and 95,83% from the teacher at SDN Sindangrasa, and 96,01% from students and 97,5% from the teacher at SDN 2 Sukamaju. Based on these results, the developed flip book media is considered highly feasible for use in learning.
