    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS akibat kurangnya inovasi media pembelajaran yang dapat menumbuhkan motivasi belajar IPS yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik era digital yang ketergantungan terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik adalah dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif pear deck sebagai faktor ekstrinsik pembentuk motivasi belajar yang mengedepankan penyajian materi yang interaktif dan menarik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media interaktif pear deck terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen (nonequivalent control group design). Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas 7B dan 7C yang berjumlah 68 peserta didik di SMP Negeri 2 Parongpong. Teknik pengumpulan data memakai angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji paired sample t-test, uji independent sample t-test, dan uji n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan motivasi belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan media interaktif pear deck di kelas eksperimen; (2) terdapat perbedaan signifikan motivasi belajar peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan media powerpoint di kelas kontrol; (3) terdapat perbedaan signifikan keterampilan motivasi belajar peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol; dan berdasarkan hasil uji n-gain, media interaktif pear deck mempengaruhi motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam kategori sedang. Selain itu media interaktif pear deck dalam pembelajaran IPS mendapatkan respon positif dari peserta didik. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media interaktif pear deck dalam pembelajaran IPS berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik. This research is motivated by the low learning motivation of students in social studies learning due to the lack of innovative learning media that can foster social studies learning motivation that is adapted to the characteristics of digital era students who depend on technology-based learning media. One way to increase students' learning motivation is by using interactive Pear Deck learning media as an extrinsic factor that promotes engaging and interesting material presentation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of using interactive Pear Deck media on students' motivation to learn social studies. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method (nonequivalent control group) design. The sample in this study consisted of 68 students from classes 7B and 7C at SMP Negeri 2 Parongpong. Data collection techniques in this research utilize questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis methods included paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and n-gain test. The results showed that (1) there was a significant increase in students' learning motivation before and after treatment with interactive Pear Deck media in the experimental class; (2) a significant increase was also observed in students' motivation before and after using PowerPoint media in the control class; (3) there was a significant difference in learning motivation skills between the experimental and control classes. Based on the n-gain test, interactive Pear Deck media had a moderate effect on students' learning motivation. Furthermore, students responded positively to using interactive Pear Deck media in social studies learning. Therefore, incorporating interactive Pear Deck media in social studies lessons can help boost students' motivation to learn.
