    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana hubungan antara pendekatan bilingual (Indonesia-Inggris) dalam pembelajaran PAI dengan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa di SMP Darul Hikam Internasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode studi korelasi untuk menganalisis hubungan antara variabel penggunaan pendekatan bilingual, motivasi belajar, dan prestasi akademik siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket motivasi belajar, observasi aktivitas pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi nilai hasil belajar siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara pendekatan bilingual dalam pembelajaran PAI dengan motivasi belajar siswa, yang terlihat dari peningkatan partisipasi aktif dan antusiasme mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan positif antara pendekatan bilingual dengan prestasi akademik siswa, yang ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan nilai hasil belajar. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan bilingual memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan peningkatan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI di SMP Darul Hikam Internasional. This research is motivated by the need to enhance students' motivation and academic performance through innovative approaches in Islamic Education (PAI) learning. The research problem focuses on the relationship between the bilingual approach (Indonesian-English) in PAI learning and students' motivation and academic performance at SMP Darul Hikam International. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational study method to analyze the relationship between the use of the bilingual approach, learning motivation, and students' academic performance. Data collection techniques include learning motivation questionnaires, classroom observation, and documentation of students' academic achievements. The findings reveal a significant relationship between the bilingual approach in PAI learning and students' learning motivation, demonstrated by increased active participation and enthusiasm during the learning process. Additionally, there is a positive relationship between the bilingual approach and students' academic performance, as evidenced by improved academic scores. Thus, this study concludes that the bilingual approach significantly correlates with increased motivation and academic performance in PAI learning at SMP Darul Hikam International.
