    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas III sekolah dasar pada materi perkalian. Terdapat siswa yang mengalami kesulitan saat mengerjakan soal perkalian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Menghasilkan produk awal bahan ajar berbasis RME, 2) Mengetahui hasil validasi terhadap bahan ajar berbasis RME, 3) Mengetahui produk akhir bahan ajar berbasis RME, 4) Mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah dilakukan uji coba bahan ajar berbasis RME. Metode penelitian ini adalah Design and Development (D&D) yang menggunakan model ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan tes, dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Desain awal bahan ajar yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa disesuaikan dengan prinsip-prinsip RME, 2) Hasil validasi para ahli menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis RME sangat layak digunakan dengan persentase masing-masing ahli sebesar 90% dari ahli materi, 80,5% dari ahli bahasa, dan 87,5% dari ahli desain, 3) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa berdasarkan hasil pre-test yaitu sebesar 49,72 dan hasil post-test sebesar 78,11 serta 4) Melakukan perbaikan terhadap bahan ajar berbasis RME berdasarkan saran dan masukkan para ahli. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis RME tergolong sangat layak digunakan dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas III sekolah dasar. This research is motivated by the low conceptual understanding ability of third grade elementary school students on multiplication material. There are students who experience difficulties when working on multiplication problems. The objectives of this research are: 1) Produce initial products of RME-based teaching materials, 2) Know the results of validation of RME-based teaching materials, 3) Know the final product of RME-based teaching materials, 4) Know the increase in students' conceptual understanding abilities after testing RME-based teaching materials. This research method is Design and Development (D&D) which uses the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews and tests, with research subjects being third grade elementary school students. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The initial design of teaching materials designed to improve students' conceptual understanding abilities is adjusted to the principles of RME, 2) The results of expert validation state that RME-based teaching materials are very suitable for use with a percentage of each expert being 90% from material experts, 80.5% from language experts, and 87.5% from design experts, 3) There is an increase in students' conceptual understanding abilities based on the pre-test results of 49.72 and the post-test results of 78.11 and 4) Making improvements to RME-based teaching materials based on suggestions and input from experts. The conclusion of this study is that the development of RME-based teaching materials is classified as very suitable for use in efforts to improve the conceptual understanding abilities of grade III elementary school students.
