Abstract
Di era digital ini, kemajuan teknologi mempengaruhi berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk cara berinteraksi dan beradaptasi di lingkungan sosial. Masa kuliah merupakan fase penting bagi siswa dalam mengembangkan nilai, peran, dan perilaku sosial yang akan diamati oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran efikasi diri dalam kemampuan interaksi sosial mahasiswa peserta program UPI International Student Mobility (UPIISM). Mengingat kemampuan adaptasi dan keterampilan sosial merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan akademik dan sosial di lingkungan internasional, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi dengan subjek yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk mengidentifikasi peran efikasi diri pada interaksi sosial mahasiswa selama program berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efikasi diri yang tinggi memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan adaptasi siswa, serta memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap interaksi sosial. Dukungan institusi juga ditemukan sebagai faktor pendukung yang memperkuat efikasi diri dan interaksi sosial. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa efikasi diri dapat ditingkatkan melalui pengalaman dan lingkungan yang mendukung, sehingga program mobilitas internasional seperti UPIISM berpotensi memperkuat kompetensi sosial mahasiswa. In this digital era, technological advancements influence various aspects of life, including how individuals interact and adapt in social environments. The college period is a crucial phase for students to develop social values, roles, and behaviors that are observed by society. This study aims to examine the role of self-efficacy in the social interaction abilities of students participating in the UPI International Student Mobility (UPIISM) program. Considering that adaptation skills and social competencies are key factors in academic and social success in international settings, this research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through interviews and documentation, with subjects selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis involved reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions to identify the role of self-efficacy in students' social interactions during the program. The results reveal that a high level of self-efficacy significantly contributes to improved social skills and adaptability, positively impacting social interactions. Institutional support also emerged as a reinforcing factor for self-efficacy and social interactions. These findings confirm that self-efficacy is not only an individual attribute but can be enhanced through supportive experiences and environments, making international mobility programs like UPIISM effective in strengthening students' social competencies.
