Abstract
Nyeri akut merupakan salah satu masalah utama yang dialami pasien post operasi laparatomi. Penatalaksanaan nyeri dapat dilakukan dengan metode farmakologis dan nonfarmakologis, salah satunya adalah terapi foot hand massage. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi foot hand massage terhadap penurunan nyeri pada pasien post operasi laparatomi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi deskriptif dengan desain laporan kasus yang dilaksanakan di RSUD Umar Wirahadikusumah pada tanggal 14 hingga 17 Oktober 2024. Subjek penelitian adalah satu pasien post operasi laparatomi dengan skala nyeri sedang. Intervensi dilakukan selama empat hari, satu kali per hari selama 15-20 menit. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, dengan instrument pengukuran nyeri menggunakan Verbal Rating Scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan skala nyeri dari sedang menjadi ringan setelah diberikan terapi. Namun, tidak terdapat perubahan signifikan pada parameter hemodinamik pasien. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, terapi foot hand massage dapat dijadikan sebagai intervensi nonfarmakologis dalam manajemen nyeri keperawatan, dan diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan dalam praktik klinis keperawatan sebagai upaya mandiri untuk meningkatkan kenyamanan pasien post operasi. Acute pain is one of the main problems experienced by patients after laparatomy surgery. Pain management can be done with pharmacological and nonpharmacological methods, one of which is foot and hand massage therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of foot and hand massage therapy on reducing pain in postoperative laparatomy patients. The research used a descriptive study method with a case report design conducted at Umar Wirahadikusumah Hospital on October 14 to 17, 2024. The research subject was one postoperative laparatomy patient with moderate pain scale. The intervention was carried out for four days, once per day for 20 minutes. Data collection was carried out tHrough interviews, observations, and documentation studies, with pain measurement instruments using the Verbal Rating Scale. The results showed a decrease in pain scale from moderate to mild after therapy. However, there were no significant changes in the patient's hemodynamic parameters. Based on these results, foot and hand massage therapy can be used as a nonpharmacological intervention in nursing pain management, and is expected to be implemented in nursing clinical practice as an independent effort to improve postoperative patient comfort.
