Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh maraknya karya siber sastra di masyarakat, khususnya alternate universe atau AU. Komunitas yang berisi pembaca dan penulis karya AU di Twitter sudah mencapai 40.000 ribu anggota. Beberapa judul AU sudah dilirik oleh para rumah produksi film untuk mengadaptasi ceritanya menjadi sebuah web series atau film di bioskop. Perkembangan yang pesat ini tidak dibersamai dengan hadirnya paltform yang mewadahi karya-karya AU tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sebuah prototipe aplikasi yang bisa menjadi wadah bagi para pengguna siber sastra, baik pembaca AU maupun novel narasi dengan konsep aplikasi dengan pengguna bisa mengunggah atau membaca karya siber sastra baik dalam bentuk AU (gambar) atau narasi (tulisan). Menggunakan metodologi model prototyping milik Sommerville (2011) yang merupakan salah satu model tahapan dari System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Model ini melalui 4 tahapan yaitu establish prototype objectives, define prototype functionality, develop prototype dan evatluate prototype. Wawancara dilakukan kepada 5 orang informan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk mendapatkan data dari pengguna mengenai permasalahan serta kebutuhan terhadap penggunaan karya siber sastra, perancangan prototipe hingga membuat desain hyperlink dilakukan menggunakan Figma. Setelah prototipe berhasil dirancang, Evaluasi pertama dilakukan oleh 3 ahli yang berasal dari ahli teknologi, siber sastra dan desain antarmuka dengan hasil penilaian mencapai angkai 81% dengan 1 menilai layak tanpa revisi dan 2 ahli lainnya menilai layak dengan revisi minor. Evaluasi tahap ke-2 dilakukan oleh 15 pengguna dengan hasil penilaian mencapai angka 77,4 dan masuk dalam kategori acceptable. This research is motivated by the growing popularity of cyber literature, particularly Alternate Universe (AU) stories, in society. The community of AU readers and writers on Twitter alone has reached over 40,000 members. Several AU titles have even attracted the attention of film production houses to be adapted into web series or feature films. However, this rapid development has not been accompanied by the presence of a dedicated platform to accommodate these AU works. The purpose of this study is to design a prototype application that serves as a platform for cyber literature users, including both AU (image-based) and narrative (text-based) readers and writers. This research uses the prototyping model developed by Sommerville (2011), which is one of the stages in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The model consists of four stages: establishing prototype objectives, defining prototype functionality, developing the prototype, and evaluating the prototype. Interviews were conducted with five informants selected using purposive sampling to gather data regarding issues and user needs related to cyber literature usage. The prototype design and hyperlink structure were created using Figma. Once the prototype was completed, the first evaluation was conducted by three experts in the fields of technology, cyber-literature, and interface design. Their assessment resulted in a score of 81%, with one expert rating it as “feasible without revisions” and the other two considering it “feasible with minor revisions.” In the second evaluation stage, 15 users assessed the prototype, achieving a score of 77.4%, which falls into the "acceptable" category.
