    Abstract

    Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membuka peluang baru dalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan media sosial favorit sebagai alat pembelajaran yaitu Instagram. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan media pembelajaran IPS berbasis Instagram di SMPN 15 Bandung, menganalisis kompetensi literasi digital di kalangan peserta didik, serta menganalisis pentingnya media pembelajaran IPS berbasis Instagram dapat mengembangkan kompetensi literasi digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Instagram dalam pembelajaran IPS memberikan pengalaman langsung belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menarik berdasarkan teori bruner. Guru mata pelajaran IPS menggunakan media pembelajaran IPS dengan memberikan stimulus menampilkan berupa video atau poster. Hal tersebut di pertegas dengan keterlibatan peserta didik yang aktif menggunakan media instagram. Sedangkan Kompetensi literasi digital mereka kompeten dalam mengakses internet, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, serta menciptakan konten digital. Selain itu, siswa menjadi lebih kritis dalam memilah sumber informasi, memahami konsep IPS secara lebih mendalam, serta mengembangkan kreativitas dalam menyampaikan gagasan, tetapi yang menjadi tantangan bagi mereka itu mendapat informasi yang ilmiah sulit untuk mengerti. Terakhir media pembelajaran IPS berbasis instagram ini dapat mengembangkan kompetensi literasi digital peserta didik memiliki dampak positif yaitu pengalaman yang bermakna bagi peserta didik terutama bukan hanya memahami materi tetapi dalam penggunaan digital yang mendorong kemampuan di abad 21. The development of digital technology has opened up new opportunities in the world of education, one of which is through the use of favorite social media as a learning tool, namely Instagram. This study aims to analyze the use of Instagram based social studies learning media at SMPN 15 Bandung, analyze digital literacy competencies among students, and analyze the importance of Instagram-based social studies learning media in developing digital literacy competencies. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of Instagram in social studies learning provides a more interactive and interesting direct learning experience based on Bruner's theory. Social studies teachers use social studies learning media by providing stimuli in the form of videos or posters. This is emphasized by the involvement of students who actively use Instagram media. While their digital literacy competencies are competent in accessing the internet, analyzing, evaluating, and creating digital content. In addition, students become more critical in sorting sources of information, understanding social studies concepts more deeply, and developing creativity in conveying ideas, but the challenge for them is that getting scientific information is difficult to understand. Finally, this Instagram-based social studies learning media can develop students' digital literacy competencies and have a positive impact, namely a meaningful experience for students, especially not only understanding the material but also in using digital which encourages abilities in the 21st century.
