Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman siswa terkait konsep materi Bangun Ruang pada kelas VI Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Pop Up Box berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep bangun ruang pada siswa kelas VI (Fase C). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Design & Development model PPE (Planning, Production and Evaluation) yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara, angket dan tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI (Fase C) Sekolah Dasar. Proses penelitian ini diawali dengan membuat desain awal media menggunakan aplikasi IbisPaint X dan Canva. Produk yang dibuat kemudian divalidasi oleh para ahli dan mendapatkan nilai 94,5% dari ahli materi dengan predikat Sangat Layak, 92% dari ahli media dengan predikat Sangat Layak, dan 97,5% dari praktisi yaitu guru dengan predikat Sangat Layak. Produk yang sudah divalidasi kemudian diuji coba secara terbatas kepada 34 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, terdapat peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 58,8 menjadi 84 dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,62 dengan predikat Sedang. Sehingga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep Bangun Ruang pada siswa Kelas VI (Fase C) setelah menggunakan media Pop Up Box berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME). This research was based on the lack of understanding of students regarding the concept of the Building Space material in class VI of elementary school. This research aims to develop a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) based Pop Up Box learning media to improve the understanding of the concept of space building in Grade VI (Phase C). The research method used is a PPE (Planning, Production, and Evaluation) model research method developed by Richey and Klein. The research instruments used were interviews, angled, and tested. The subjects of this study were grade VI (Phase C) elementary school students. The research process began with the initial design of the media using the Ibis Paint X and Canva applications. The products made are then validated by experts and scored 94,5% from material experts with a Very Decent predicate, 92% from media experts with a Very Decent predicate, and 97,5% from practitioners, namely teachers with a Very Decent predicate. The validated product was then tested on a limited basis to 34 students. Based on pre-test and post-test results, there was an increase in average value from 58.8 to 84 with an N-Gain average of 0,62 with a moderate predicate. Thus, it shows an increased understanding of the concept of Building Space in Class VI (Phase C) students after using Pop Up Box media based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME).
