Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media smart box terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar pada materi kekayaan budaya Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif serta rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi budaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD negeri di Kab. Sukabumi, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen menggunakan media smart box, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menggunakan media power point interaktif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test dalam bentuk soal pilihan ganda dan esai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Nilai post-test tertinggi pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 100 dan nilai terendah 75, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol nilai tertinggi adalah 96 dan nilai terendah 65. Analisis statistik dengan uji-t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok tersebut. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media smart box secara efektif dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan pemahaman terhadap materi budaya. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media smart box berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan dapat dijadikan alternatif media pembelajaran interaktif yang kontekstual di sekolah dasar. ---------- This study aims to determine the effect of smart box media on improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students on the material of Indonesian Cultural Wealth. The background of this research is based on the lack of use of interactive learning media and the low learning outcomes of students on cultural material. The method used was quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Sukabumi district, which were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used smart box media, while the control group used interactive power point media. Data collection techniques were conducted through pre-test and post-test in the form of multiple choice questions and essays. The results showed that the experimental group experienced a higher increase in learning outcomes than the control group. The highest post-test score in the experimental group was 100 and the lowest score was 75, while in the control group the highest score was 96 and the lowest score was 65. Statistical analysis with t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate that the use of smart box media can effectively increase student engagement and understanding of cultural materials. Thus, it can be concluded that smart box media has a significant effect on student learning outcomes and can be used as an alternative contextual interactive learning media in elementary schools.
